The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hanes ducks under a wild hook from King. Hanes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by King.
The fighters circling - King throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Hanes misses with a series of wild punches.

King shoots in for a double leg but Hanes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hanes throws a right hand that King ducks under and follows up with a left that King also avoids with ease. Hanes misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

King seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hanes does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Hanes is trying to control but can't.
Hanes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for King on the ground. King works his way into full mount!

Boom throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Paul works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Paul will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
