Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Edwards!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dustin Kilgore!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards throws a series of punches but Kilgore moves out of range.
Kilgore fails to land the takedown.
Edwards will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kilgore tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Edwards swivels and escapes.
Horrible takedown by Kilgore or perhaps it was just good defense by Edwards which made him look bad.
Josh Edwards has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dustin Kilgore.
Kilgore fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kilgore misses with the combination.
Edwards finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Edwards misses with a jab, cross combination.
Edwards fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kilgore shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Edwards defends it nicely.
Edwards misses with a few strikes there.

Kilgore tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Edwards swivels and escapes.
Edwards misses with a double jab.
Edwards fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kilgore checks it well.

Edwards throws a leg kick that misses.
The fighters circling - Edwards throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Edwards misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kilgore shoots in and drives through. Edwards sprawls well.
Kilgore misses with a right hand
and Kilgore takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kilgore shoots for a takedown but Edwards saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Kilgore closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Edwards to the mat! Edwards manages to get full guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Edwards wants to get back to his feet but Kilgore is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kilgore is looking to work some ground and pound but Edwards has wrist control.
Kilgore trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kilgore lands a couple of decent looking shots.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kilgore accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kilgore has gone for a leg lock! Edwards slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kilgore's guard.
Edwards wants to stand and escape but instead Kilgore has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Kilgore won't allow Edwards to get back to his feet.
Kilgore postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kilgore postures up and lands a big shot to Edwards's brow.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Edwards wants to stand up but Kilgore is controlling him.
Edwards is breathing heavily.
Kilgore sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Edwards's guard.

Kilgore is working for a submission of some sort.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kilgore drops an elbow to the side of Edwards's head.
Kilgore missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kilgore is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Kilgore is working for a kimura but Edwards is defending it quite comfortably.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dustin Kilgore dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Edwards looks to land a combination. Kilgore sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Edwards throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Edwards throws a nice looking combination but Kilgore bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Edwards misses with the combination.

Edwards slips a jab and a cross from Kilgore.
Edwards throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Edwards looks to land a combination but Kilgore avoids it well.
Josh Edwards seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kilgore bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Kilgore looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Edwards is trying to get back to his feet.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Edwards on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Edwards tries to get out of the position.

Kilgore has hold of Edwards's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Edwards seems comfortable defending it but Kilgore has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Edwards is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Edwards is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Kilgore couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Dustin Kilgore!
A very excited looking Dustin Kilgore made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
