Luthor lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Luthor is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but The Punching Machine is surviving well by controlling Luthor's body position as best he can. The Punching Machine is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lex Luthor will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vaughan connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Vaughan looks to land a combination but Balboa avoids it well. Vaughan throws a right and a left that Balboa avoids nicely. Vaughan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Balboa showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Vaughan.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Vaughan. Balboa shrugs it off though. Balboa tests Vaughan's chin there with a solid looking shot.
It looks like Bailey Vaughan has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Vaughan throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

and Balboa counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Balboa throws a sloppy head kick and Vaughan moves out of range easily. Balboa takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Vaughan has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Vaughan avoids the head kick by Balboa.
Vaughan fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Balboa to the ground. Vaughan is now in Balboa's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Vaughan drops back looking for a leg! Balboa is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Balboa manages to kick Vaughan off! Vaughan jumps back into Balboa's guard. Balboa is working an open guard so Vaughan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Diaz is rocked! Bill Shadow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gauge Diaz. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Shadow chips away with some ground and pound. Diaz is still in real trouble! Can Shadow finish him? Diaz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shadow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Horrible takedown by Hart or perhaps it was just good defense by Kealoha which made him look bad. Hart with a lazy takedown attempt and Kealoha cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hart closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kealoha circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Channing Hart. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kealoha displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hart. Hart throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kealoha was covering up waiting for the punch and Hart finishes the takedown easily into guard. Kealoha is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hart defends well.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kealoha moves into full mount! Hart won't be happy about that! Keanu Kealoha showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knuckles tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ferguson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Knuckles fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Knuckles lands with a shot to the body. Knuckles throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Ferguson moves out of range of the leg kick from Knuckles. Knuckles gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Ferguson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Ferguson works over Knuckles with some ground and pound from guard. Ferguson stands up over Knuckles, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ferguson working some strikes from top position. Ferguson looking to sit in guard and control but Knuckles gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Ferguson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Knuckles!

A punch lands to the side of Rua 's head but he takes it in his stride. Chihuahua feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Rua's calf. Rua wants to clinch but Chihuahua slips to the side and Chihuahua connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Rua wants to clinch and Chihuahua counters with a head kick.
Rua is rocked! Rua tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Chihuahua counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Rua badly! Chihuahua follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Rua out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Chihuahua finished him against the cage.

Champ wants to stand and escape but Tolle is having none of it. Champ is trying to keep Tolle in close.
