The bell rings for round one and we are underway! O Palmeiras throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Field was covering up waiting for the punch and O Palmeiras finishes the takedown easily into guard. Field keeping full guard, as O Palmeiras tries to pass. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. O Palmeiras is sitting in close to Field's body. Field has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! O Palmeiras is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, O Palmeiras is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Field.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Martinez as he jumps to the side. Davis with a poor takedown and Martinez counters with a single leg into guard. Davis didn't expect that. Martinez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Davis working for a triangle but Martinez defends it easily.
Davis is looking for a triangle here but Martinez uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Martinez has an Americana. Davis didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Martinez is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Martinez hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dong closes the distance and clinches. Smith jumps guard but Dong turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Smith tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dong just stands there and leans against the cage. Dong breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dong closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Smith's guard. Dong has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Dong wants to stand but Smith is controlling his posture from full guard. Smith is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dong defends well. Dong landing some decent shots from guard. Smith throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dong is posturing up here but Smith has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Dong tries to roll out but it's too tight and Dong has to tap! Slick submission there by Smith!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! An inside leg kick lands from Griffin. Karlsson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Griffin was well out of range. Poor timing from Karlsson. A decent looking cross lands there for Karlsson. Griffin misses with a few strikes there.
