The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brubaker changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Njord looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Brubaker fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Brubaker grinds an elbow into Njord's temple.
Njord is trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Njord's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Njord is working to avoid the ground and pound but Brubaker connects with a decent elbow.

Brubaker wants to control but Njord is keeping him busy.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Brubaker lands some shots froms side control.

Zeddy is looking to defend but Garvey Huey has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Zeddy! Garvey Huey pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Zeddy taps out and this one is all over!

Swarner kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Friends in Low Places . Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!
