The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper moves out of range of the body kick from Sho.
Sho throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Sho swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Cooper uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sho.
Cooper steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Sho. That one must have hurt.

Sho misses with an attempted mid kick.
Taka Sho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sho looks for the body kick but Cooper saw that one coming.
Sho connects with a solid leg kick.
Sho feints and then cracks Cooper's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cooper down.
Sho moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sho misses with a body kick.
Sho pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Cooper lands a nice looking body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cooper shoots in looking for a takedown. Sho tries to sprawl out of it but Cooper keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sho manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sho loads up on a big right hand but Cooper slips the punch.
Sho fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cooper manages to avoid it.
Cooper shoots in looking for a takedown but Sho manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cooper's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Cooper decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sho's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Cooper in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Cooper won't allow Sho to sweep him here.

Sho has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Cooper doesn't defend quickly enough and Sho has managed to lock this one up! Can Cooper escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Sho on a fantastic submission victory.
