2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Maurycy Topollo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Obie Trice! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Topollo drives through with a takedown into Trice's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Topollo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Topollo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Trice for as long as he can get away with. Topollo really is a fat lump. Trice not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Topollo trying to control the position from guard on top but Trice is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Topollo's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Maurycy Topollo. Trice uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Topollo.
Topollo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Topollo showed some decent athleticism there. Trice wants to get back to full guard. Trice makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Trice. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Trice can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trice has Topollo pulled in close to control his posture. Topollo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Maurycy Topollo has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Topollo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Trice. Topollo swings for the body but Trice moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trice looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Trice is controlling the pace.
Trice is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Topollo has managed to free his arm - good work. Topollo preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Topollo trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Trice manages to pass to mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trice looking to control but Topollo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Trice goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Topollo is on top in guard.
Topollo controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Trice trying to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Topollo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
We're going to have a standup here because Maurycy Topollo wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Topollo closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Trice quickly recovers to half guard. Trice is trying to control but can't.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Trice works his way to full guard. Good work. Topollo engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Trice lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Topollo! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Topollo shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Topollo tries to pass to full mount but Trice defends it. Topollo is working hard here to advance position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Topollo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Trice keeps working.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Topollo enables Trice to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Topollo manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Trice drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Topollo dives on top into guard. Maurycy Topollo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Trice pulls Topollo in close to prevent any damage. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Topollo is taking a breather. Trice says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Topollo wants to take a breather but Trice is having none of it.

We're going to have a standup here because Maurycy Topollo wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Topollo fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Trice is out of range. Trice avoids a kick to the body.
Trice tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Topollo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Trice tries to roll over but Topollo keeps him under control. Topollo content to control rather than advance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Topollo prevents Trice from improving his position. Trice is concentrating on defense, preventing Topollo from advancing position. Still in half guard, Topollo seems content to control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Maurycy Topollo. Topollo blocks a head kick by Trice.
Trice throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Topollo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Trice to the mat! Trice manages to get full guard. Topollo engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Topollo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Obie Trice has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Topollo looking to control and managing it successfully. Topollo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Trice is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Topollo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Trice tries to land a sweep but no joy. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Topollo trying to control but Trice is working from the bottom. Topollo has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Trice to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Topollo is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Trice pulls down on the head and he's put Topollo to sleep! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gunderson dives in and grabs Kuruts's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kuruts pushes down on Gunderson's head and hops out. Gunderson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kuruts but Kuruts pushes him off and we're back to square one. Gunderson moves into range and clinches up with Kuruts. Gunderson wants a takedown but no success here.
Alex Kuruts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adelberry Gunderson. Gunderson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kuruts smiles and moves away.
Gunderson scores with a takedown into Kuruts's guard. Gunderson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kuruts has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gunderson has managed to get both his arms back between Kuruts's legs - danger averted. Kuruts can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gunderson controls the pace. Kuruts not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kuruts might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Gunderson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gunderson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Gunderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kuruts swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gunderson is trying to control the position but Kuruts postures up. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Gunderson has his foot on Kuruts's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kuruts works his way back into a safe position though. Kuruts won't allow Gunderson to get back to his feet. Kuruts trying to control but Gunderson is working from the bottom. Gunderson has control of Kuruts's left arm, preventing Kuruts from doing any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Alex Kuruts. Gunderson throws out a powerful jab. Gunderson closes the distance and pushes Kuruts back into the cage. Gunderson wants to get back to striking at distance but Kuruts won't allow it.
Kuruts blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Gunderson tries to circle away but Kuruts has him pinned against the cage. Kuruts gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kuruts is looking to advance position but Gunderson won't allow it. Kuruts passes the guard and advances to mount! Gunderson has left one of his arms exposed and Kuruts doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Gunderson screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
