Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Kuruts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Obie Trice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alex Kuruts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Obie Trice! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trice gets tackled into the cage by Kuruts. Kuruts maintains the clinch. Kuruts wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Kuruts jumps guard and drags Trice to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Trice tries to free his leg and advance position but Kuruts is retaining full guard. Kuruts not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kuruts keeping moving, preventing Trice from controlling successfully. Kuruts working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Trice doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Trice manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kuruts is looking for a triangle but Trice pushes his legs off easily.
Kuruts is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Trice trying to control the position from guard on top but Kuruts is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Trice trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Kuruts has an active guard here but Trice has managed to pass into half guard.
Trice looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Trice wants to take a breather but Kuruts is having none of it. Trice prevents Kuruts from improving his position. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Trice in particular looking to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kuruts tries to roll over but Trice keeps him under control. Trice wants to control but Kuruts is keeping him busy. Kuruts wants to control but Trice is keeping busy.
Trice trying to pass the guard but Kuruts defending well. Kuruts keeping hold of Trice's head, controlling as best he can. Trice is taking a breather. Kuruts says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Trice is defended easily by Kuruts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trice gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Trice is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Trice seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kuruts does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Trice tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kuruts knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Kuruts trying to hold on to Trice's head to control him but Trice postures up.
Trice takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Trice is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kuruts sees it coming and defends easily.

Kuruts slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Trice tries to free his leg and advance position but Kuruts is retaining full guard. Kuruts keeping moving, preventing Trice from controlling successfully. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kuruts is trying to keep Trice in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kuruts is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Trice stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kuruts swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Alex Kuruts will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kuruts is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A head kick misses from Trice. Kuruts tries to close the distance and clinch but Trice swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Trice lands a high kick!
Kuruts gets a double leg takedown into Trice's guard. Kuruts wants to control from the top but Trice keeps moving. Trice looking to control.
Trice wants to sweep here but Kuruts controlling him for the moment. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Trice looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kuruts passes into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kuruts thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kuruts tries for a kimura but Trice is defending well. Trice really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kuruts. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kuruts tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Trice has one of Kuruts's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trice tries to bench press Kuruts off him but Kuruts keeps the position. Trice is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Kuruts's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Kuruts lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Trice is staying active underneath Kuruts, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Kuruts is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Trice defends it well. Trice is trying to maintain the position but Kuruts is very close to passing his half guard.

Alex Kuruts overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kuruts is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Trice has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kuruts wants to lay and pray for a moment but Trice keeps working. Kuruts is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Trice tries to roll over but Kuruts keeps him under control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Trice looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Kuruts is looking for a kimura here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Alex Kuruts will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Trice moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Kuruts drives through and clinches with Trice against the cage.
Trice drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kuruts pulls his leg out and moves away.
Trice thows a body shot but no joy. Kuruts keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Trice looks for a takedown but Kuruts sprawls well. Alex Kuruts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Obie Trice. Kuruts is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Trice's half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kuruts thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kuruts is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Trice sees it coming and defends easily. Kuruts is thwarting Trice's attempts to control the position. Trice wants to get back to full guard. Trice keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Trice is looking for a sweep. Kuruts is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Trice can do anything to dispel that myth. Trice has his hands clasped together around Kuruts's back. He's all about the action. Kuruts throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trice is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kuruts is trying to work for a kimura but Trice is defending well.
Kuruts thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kuruts looks to land a strike but Trice avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Trice wants to sweep here but Kuruts controlling him for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kuruts thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Trice wants to sweep but no luck. Kuruts looking to sit in guard and control but Trice gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Trice trying to control but Kuruts is working from the bottom. Trice wants to pass the guard but Kuruts is keeping the position. Kuruts wants to sweep here but Trice controlling him for the moment. Kuruts working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Trice doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. That's four minutes gone in the round. Trice slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Trice stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kuruts swivels though and keeps the full guard. Trice wants to control from the top but Kuruts keeps moving. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Obie Trice. I think Kuruts has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
