The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steele shoots for a takedown but Acosta saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Steele shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Acosta as he avoids it easily. Steele tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Acosta swivels and escapes. Julio Acosta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Byrom Steele. A nice inside leg kick there by Acosta. That's going to slow Steele down. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams Jr shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Johanson sprawls well. Johanson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Williams Jr gets slowly back to his feet. Williams Jr gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Johanson counters with a series of strikes. Williams Jr will be more careful next time no doubt. The fight stays on the outside here - Johanson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Williams Jr shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bjorn Johanson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kendall Williams Jr. Johanson tries to clinch and Williams Jr counters with a nice double leg into side control. Johanson won't be happy with that. Wooooo!
