and Meduza counters with a crisp one two that drops o hAodha! Meduza thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves o hAodha to his feet! o hAodha is in big trouble!
The fighters circle, before Meduza throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into o hAodha's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Meduza lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Fredrik Meduza!
A very excited looking Fredrik Meduza rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Walter Kurtz!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Joseph Jones and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurtz jabs at Silva's body.
Kurtz walks into a straight right hand from Silva.

It looks like Walter Kurtz has been cut.
Silva throws a right and a left that both miss.

Silva darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Kurtz wants to get back to full guard.
Silva stalling.
Silva trying to pass the guard but Kurtz defending well.
Kurtz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Silva is working away from the top position though.

Silva is trying to control the action in half guard but Kurtz is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Silva throwing shots but Kurtz is blocking nicely.
Kurtz slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Silva looking to pass the guard.
Silva postures up in Kurtz's guard and throws a big left but Kurtz blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kurtz works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kurtz swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Silva working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kurtz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Silva distracts Kurtz with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Silva controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Silva working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Kurtz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kurtz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Silva's corner is telling him to maintain position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silva won't allow Kurtz to get back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Daniel Silva wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Silva scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kurtz in his tracks.
Silva lands a nice shot that snaps Kurtz's head back.

Kurtz is rocked!
Silva jabs at Kurtz's body.
Kurtz is still on wobbly legs! Can Silva finish him?
Kurtz looks winded!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Silva fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Kurtz out cold! Brutal finish!

After winning the bout, Daniel Silva thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
