1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dagonet McLoughlin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Johnny Trua! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McLoughlin moves to clinch but Trua breaks away and Trua counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Trua. Trua breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McLoughlin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Trua paws at him with a jab and circles away. Trua avoids the head kick by McLoughlin.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Trua has eaten all the pies! McLoughlin lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Johnny Trua has been cut. No joy there for McLoughlin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
McLoughlin throws a series of punches but Trua moves out of range. McLoughlin misses with a body kick. Trua throws a series of punches but McLoughlin moves out of range. No luck for Trua with that takedown attempt. Trua misses with a takedown attempt - McLoughlin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McLoughlin throws a nice looking combination but Trua bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. McLoughlin looks to land a combination but Trua avoids it well. McLoughlin stuffs the takedown attempt from Trua. Trua gets slowly back to his feet. Dagonet McLoughlin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Trua. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Trua. A right-left combo lands from McLoughlin.
Trua is rocked! McLoughlin throws a series of punches but Trua avoids them all with ease. Dagonet McLoughlin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Trua moves into the clinch. McLoughlin is trying to break the clinch but Trua is controlling him. Trua breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Trua shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McLoughlin pinned against the cage. McLoughlin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Trua seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. McLoughlin shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Trua is backing up but McLoughlin catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Trua covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! McLoughlin Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cop lands a big head kick that sends Ashe tumbling to the mat! Cop takes a step backwards and waves Ashe back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Ashe is rocked!
It looks like Gregory Ashe has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ashe moves out of range of the body kick. Oh Ashe is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Cop lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arthur shoots in for a takedown and gets it. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Arthur is pressing down on Sobberman's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sobberman is holding on for now. Sobberman trying to control from the bottom.
Arthur could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Sobberman moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Arthur looking to pass the guard. Sobberman is striking but Arthur is not phased and passes to half guard. Sobberman is holding on to half guard well. Arthur looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sobberman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Sobberman looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Arthur stalling away here and it's allowed Sobberman to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Sobberman keeping moving, preventing Arthur from controlling successfully. Sobberman looking for a sweep. Not yet Sobberman, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sobberman wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sobberman is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Wayne Arthur just wasn't active enough. Arthur tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sobberman paws at him with a jab and circles away. Arthur drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Sobberman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Arthur is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arthur trying to control but Sobberman is working from the bottom. Arthur is looking to work some ground and pound but Sobberman has wrist control. Arthur working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Arthur trying to control the position from guard on top but Sobberman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Arthur stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sobberman swivels though and keeps the full guard. Arthur wants to control from the top but Sobberman keeps moving.

We're going to have a standup here because Wayne Arthur wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Arthur gets caught flat footed, as Sobberman shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Sobberman is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Arthur keeping moving, preventing Sobberman from controlling successfully. Sobberman passes Arthur's left leg - he's now in half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sobberman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Sobberman is trying to control. Arthur wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Wayne Arthur will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Arthur shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Arthur was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Sobberman is trying to control Arthur's posture but Arthur avoids it. Arthur gets to mount! Sobberman was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Arthur is in the full mount, landing strikes. Arthur sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The referee warns Sobberman that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sobberman is bucking up trying to escape but Arthur cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Sobberman tries to get back to half guard but can't. Arthur looking to ground and pound but Sobberman is blocking nicely. Sobberman is trying desperately to improve position. Sobberman wants to control but Arthur is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arthur has control of Sobberman's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sobberman regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Arthur looking to control but Sobberman is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Arthur thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Arthur goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Sobberman is on top in guard.
Sobberman slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Arthur tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sobberman is staying tight to Arthur's torso, preventing him from escaping. The ground and pound from Sobberman seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. You can see the frustration on Arthur's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Arthur trying to remain calm as Sobberman controls from the top position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sobberman has control of an arm but Arthur manages to advance to Sobberman's back! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sobberman tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Arthur landing punches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wayne Arthur dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Arthur feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Sobberman wants to sweep but no luck. Sobberman is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Arthur is aware though and is defending well. Sobberman working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Arthur. Sobberman throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Sobberman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Sobberman working for submissions but it's allowed Arthur to get to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sobberman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Arthur trying to control from Sobberman's half guard. Sobberman has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arthur passes Sobberman's left leg - he's now in half guard. Arthur prevents Sobberman from standing back up.
Sobberman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Arthur takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Arthur wants to stand up but Sobberman is controlling the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Arthur perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Arthur tries to pass the half guard into mount. Sobberman knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Arthur wants to work for an arm triangle but Sobberman is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sato fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sato gets in close and instigates a clinch. Malone jumps guard but Sato stands there with Malone around his waist. Malone gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Malone turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Malone manages to end up in side control. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Sato can't do much from the bottom here. Sato tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Malone wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Sato holding on. Malone wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sato keeps working. Malone decides to stand back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sato throws a head kick but Malone moves out of range.
Sato darts in and clinches Malone up against the cage. Malone is trying to drag Sato to the mat but Sato just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Sato comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Sato pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Sato landing knees to the body.
Malone is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Sato gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Howard Sato has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Evan Malone. Sato lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
It looks like Evan Malone has been cut. Sato misses with a knee strike.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A frustrated look appears on Malone's face as he tries to break the clinch. Sato lands an elbow inside that Malone shrugs off. Malone is looking to break free of the clinch but Sato has double underhooks. Sato connects with a knee to the head.
Malone escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Malone closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sato circles away. Sato moves into range and connects with a jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sato tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Malone paws at him with a jab and circles away. Malone fails with a takedown attempt. Howard Sato is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sato misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sato lands a big head kick that sends Malone tumbling to the mat! Sato takes a step backwards and waves Malone back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Malone is rocked! Malone shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sato as he avoids it easily. Malone is still on wobbly legs! Can Sato finish him?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Whack! Sato lands a heavy head kick that drops Malone. The ref tackles Sato to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Malone was done.
