Gatherer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Alvez throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Gatherer - that will leave a mark!
Both fighters circling a little - Gatherer finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Gatherer cracks Alvez with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Alvez looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Gatherer finish him?

A nice leg kick lands there from Gatherer.
Gatherer sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Alvez's defenses. It connects perfectly with Alvez's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

Carioca pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Decampo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Carioca sprawls well. Carioca wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Decampo gets slowly back to his feet.

Decampo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Carioca circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Raul Decampo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice sprawl there from Carioca as Decampo shoots in.
Carioca moves in looking to clinch but Decampo pushes him off.
Decampo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carioca's waist but Carioca gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Decampo off to one side.

Decampo closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Carioca's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Carioca is looking to stand back up but Decampo counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Carioca.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Decampo is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Carioca has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Carioca!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carioca is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Decampo looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Decampo has his feet on Carioca's thighs here. He's pushed Carioca off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Carioca screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Raul Decampo decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
