2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tj Machida! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dover fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Dover throws a leg kick and Machida counters with a series of strikes. Dover will be more careful next time no doubt. Dover misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dover feints and as Machida raises his hands in defense, Dover changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Dover won't allow Machida to get back to his feet. Dover passes into half guard. Machida really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dover. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dover trying to control the pace. Dover's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Machida is trying to stand up here but Dover is controlling him well. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Juras gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Perry counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Juras looking for a sweep. Not yet Juras, not yet. Juras has control of Perry's left arm, preventing Perry from doing any damage. Juras is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Perry is aware though and is defending well. Perry knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Juras on the ground. Perry is looking to stand up but Juras won't let him. Juras keeping moving, preventing Perry from controlling successfully. Perry postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Perry looking to pass the guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Perry accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Perry wants to free his trapped foot but Juras is holding on for dear life with his legs. Juras keeps control of the position for the meantime. Perry is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
