The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buzzatti misses with a takedown attempt - Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Buzzatti closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Silva did well to prevent Buzzatti getting side control. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Buzzatti seems to be looking for submissions.
Silva is trying to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silva looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Buzzatti looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Silva preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Silva wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Buzzatti is thwarting Silva's attempts to control the position. Buzzatti is working for a submission of some sort.
Buzzatti is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Silva has managed to free his arm - good work.

Silva keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Silva works his way to full guard. Good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Buzzatti has gone for a leg lock! Silva slips out almost immediately though and dives into Buzzatti's guard. Silva makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva wants to stand but Buzzatti has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Silva lands a couple of elbows. Buzzatti has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Buzzatti is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Buzzatti is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Silva trying to control the position from guard on top but Buzzatti is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Silva is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Silva's corner. There ya go! There ya go! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cesare Buzzatti dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Silva stuffs the takedown. Silva gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Buzzatti to score an easy takedown into full guard. Silva is trying to keep Buzzatti in close.

Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Buzzatti. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Buzzatti manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Buzzatti thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Buzzatti drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Buzzatti jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Buzzatti! Silva raining down hammerfists from mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Silva wants to control the pace but Buzzatti is squirming around nicely. Cesare Buzzatti overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Buzzatti keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

It looks like Cesare Buzzatti has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Buzzatti is in all sorts of trouble here.
Oh Buzzatti is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Silva connects with a bit shot that sees Buzzatti covering up! More strikes from Silva and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Silva is our winner by TKO!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hardy throws a big shot that misses. Excellent takedown into side control there by Saltzman. Saltzman working away. Hardy is looking for a sweep. Saltzman is looking to take a break and control but Hardy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hardy parries the strikes from Saltzman easily there. Saltzman is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hardy to escape.
Saltzman throws a strike aimed at the side of Hardy's head but Hardy avoids it well. Hardy controls the position for a moment. Saltzman cracks Hardy with an elbow. That is naaassty. Hardy can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hardy tries to improve position but can't. Saltzman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hardy dodges the ground and pound from Saltzman. The ground and pound from Saltzman seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Saltzman misses with an attempted head punch from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hardy looking for a sweep but Saltzman has passed into full mount! Oh no! Saltzman can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hardy is looking to escape. Hardy tries to hold on but Saltzman pushes him away. Hardy is desperately trying to improve his position but Saltzman has a good base and remains in mount. Saltzman landing punches. Hardy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Saltzman on the ground. Saltzman scores with a couple of good head shots there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Saltzman lands with some strikes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hardy blocking the ground and pound. Saltzman is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Hardy is rocked! Saltzman looking to control and managing it successfully. Oh Hardy is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Hardy is bucking up trying to escape but Saltzman cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Saltzman tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Hardy avoids a series of strikes thrown by Saltzman.
Saltzman raining down shots from the mount! Poor strikes thrown by Saltzman there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Saltzman dominating with strikes here. Oooooh, big shot lands for Saltzman! Hardy is hurt baaadly! Saltzman is firing away with more strikes - Hardy is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good shot there by Johnson. Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Avila paws at him with a jab and circles away. Johnson clinches up against the cage. A left hand lands to the body for Johnson.
Johnson tries to stall but Avila uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Johnson lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Avila wants a takedown but no success here.
Johnson is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Johnson gets underhooks to prevent Avila's takedown attempt.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Johnson digs a right hand underneath Avila's ribcage. Avila let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Avila gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Johnson gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Avila is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Maye avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Maye fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McBride. McBride throws an off balance right hand
and Maye counters with a solid body kick. This has been an exciting period of action! McBride fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Maye manages to avoid it. McBride rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Maye moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Maye throws a series of punches but McBride moves out of range. McBride throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Maye counters with a straight right hand. Maye connects with the punch. McBride takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
McBride misses with a wild combination.
McBride takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
That's one minute gone in the round. Good standup being displayed there by McBride as he connects with a hook. A punch lands to the side of McBride 's head but he takes it in his stride. Maye lands with a good body shot. Ryan Maye is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McBride rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Maye moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Maye throws a head kick that misses. McBride tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. No luck with that takedown attempt from McBride. No luck for McBride with that takedown attempt. Sloppy strikes from McBride. Those never looked like landing. McBride looks winded! McBride catches Maye with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Maye lands a front kick. Maye feints a jab promting McBride to slip. Maye then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. McBride slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. McBride blocks a head kick by Maye.

This has been an exciting period of action! Maye throws a head kick but McBride moves out of range.

McBride is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Maye throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on McBride's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Maye dives in looking to finish as McBride flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Maye's strikes! Maye is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! McBride's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but McBride was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

Hansson has closed the distance and engaged Licha in a clinch.
Licha wants to break free but Hansson has control.
Licha tries to pull guard but Hansson holds him up against the cage and eventually Licha drops back down to his feet.
Hansson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hansson throws a combination that misses and Licha counters with a left right combination that sends Hansson crashing to the mat - Licha wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Hansson out for a TKO! Devastating finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lisandro Licha! Lisandro Licha tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Ripley or perhaps it was just good defense by Kosh which made him look bad. Ripley wants to clinch. Kosh tries to clinch up but Ripley circles away and keeps his distance. Ripley tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kosh paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ripley throws a low kick, looking for Kosh's leg but Kosh calmly moves out of range. Ripley defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kosh. Kosh keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Kosh throws a combination. Ripley tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Ripley misses with a hook
and Kosh counters with a good, hard body kick but Ripley shrugs it off. Kosh throws a head kick that misses. Kosh drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Ripley prevents Kosh from moving into mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ripley is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Ripley is not content to let Kosh control the position. Kosh cracks Ripley with an elbow. That is naaassty. Kosh stands up and beckons Ripley to his feet. Ripley shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kosh defends it nicely. Clayton Kosh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mr Ripley.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kosh tries to close the distance and clinch but Ripley swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ripley looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Ripley clinches. Kosh tries to pull guard but Ripley holds him up against the cage and eventually Kosh drops back down to his feet.
Ripley ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ripley no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Kosh stands and throws Ripley's legs to the side, diving into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kosh tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Ripley is not content to let Kosh control the position.

Kosh stands up and beckons Ripley to his feet. Ripley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Ripley passes easily into side control. Nice work. Kosh is looking to reverse the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ripley tries to score with some ground and pound. Kosh controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Ripley working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
