Grzmotojad comes to the cage accompanied by Power Metal . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grzmotojad fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Grzmotojad steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Tomas. Tomas tries a head kick but it misses.

Grzmotojad tries to close the distance and clinch but Tomas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Tomas throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Grzmotojad throws a looping overhand right but Tomas ducks down to avoid it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grzmotojad lands with a right hand. Grzmotojad throws a leg kick and Grzmotojad takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Grzmotojad throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tomas was covering up waiting for the punch and Grzmotojad finishes the takedown easily into guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Grzmotojad working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Tomas's head. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tomas can do anything to dispel that myth. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Grzmotojad slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Grzmotojad lands a decent elbow from side control.
