Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ivan Krazenkov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brandon Gonzalos! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzalos tries to clinch up and Krazenkov counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Gonzalos thinking. Krazenkov lands a nice hook to Gonzalos's body. Gonzalos takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. A bone on bone clash there as Krazenkov blocks the leg kick.
Krazenkov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gonzalos's waist but Gonzalos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Krazenkov off to one side. Krazenkov looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Gonzalos is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Krazenkov seems to be working for a kimura but Gonzalos defends the submission attempt. Gonzalos is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Krazenkov perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Krazenkov wants to get back to his feet.
Gonzalos wants to control but Krazenkov is keeping busy and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Krazenkov wants to pass the guard but Gonzalos is defending well.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Ivan Krazenkov just wasn't active enough. Krazenkov stuffs the takedown attempt from Gonzalos. Gonzalos gets slowly back to his feet. Krazenkov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Krazenkov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Gonzalos wants to control but Krazenkov postures up. Krazenkov has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Gonzalos! Gonzalos defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Krazenkov. Krazenkov controlling his opponent. Krazenkov lands with some strikes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Krazenkov is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gonzalos to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gonzalos shrugs it off. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ivan Krazenkov. Krazenkov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gonzalos was covering up waiting for the punch and Krazenkov finishes the takedown easily into guard. Krazenkov makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Ivan Krazenkov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Krazenkov stays in close to Gonzalos's body and controls the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Krazenkov stands and throws Gonzalos's legs to the side, diving into side control. We're going to have a standup here because Ivan Krazenkov wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Gonzalos with a poor takedown and Krazenkov counters with a lovely shot to the body. Gonzalos takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Gonzalos fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Krazenkov manages to avoid it. Krazenkov shoots in for a takedown but Gonzalos shows good takedown defense. No luck for Gonzalos with that takedown attempt. Krazenkov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gonzalos looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Krazenkov is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gonzalos knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Krazenkov taking a breather here.

Ivan Krazenkov wins by unanimous decision! Ivan Krazenkov decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nogueira looks to clinch and Gomez moves into the clinch. Gomez dodges an elbow strike from Nogueira.
Nogueira looks to throw an elbow but misses. Gomez pressing his opponent against the cage. Nogueira pushes off an throws an elbow but Gomez leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Nogueira misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Gomez.
Gomez really is a fat lump. Gomez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Gomez throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Nogueira cracks Gomez with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Gomez drives through and clinches with Nogueira against the cage.
Nogueira lands a nice elbow. Gomez wants the takedown. Nogueira is fighting it off but Gomez persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Nogueira's guard against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nogueira is trying to control the position from the bottom.

He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Nogueira! Nogueira is trying to control Gomez's posture but Gomez avoids it. Nogueira is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
