The bell rings for round one and we are underway! One shoots in for a takedown and gets it. A Beotch blocking the ground and pound attempt from One. One sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. A Beotch defending well though. A Beotch has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. One is working away from the top position though. One thows a huge punch but A Beotch dodges it nicely.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bonner can do anything to dispel that myth. Bonner working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Lis has passed into half guard!

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lis working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lis wants to control but Bonner is keeping him busy. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lis is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bonner is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevenson looks to land a combination but Quispel avoids it well. Quispel closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Stevenson to the mat! Stevenson manages to get full guard. Quispel controls from within his opponent's guard. Stevenson is working an open guard so Quispel takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Stevenson lands with a cross. Stevenson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Quispel counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stevenson is defending against the submission attempts here by Quispel.
Quispel is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quispel wants to stand but Stevenson has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Quispel not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Quispel decides to stand and escape the position.

Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Stevenson is fighting to break Quispel's control of his arms but Quispel is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. OK we're going to have a standup here. Ricky Quispel hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Stevenson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Quispel moves in looking to clinch but Stevenson pushes him off. Stevenson scores with a hook to the body. Quispel takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Quispel dives in and grabs Stevenson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stevenson pushes down on Quispel's head and hops out. A punch combination from Stevenson misses. Quispel takes the fight into the clinch. Stevenson has had enough of the clinch but Quispel keeps him there for the moment.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Stevenson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Stevenson throws a body punch but Quispel moves out of range. Quispel shoots and misses and Stevenson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Stevenson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Quispel. Quispel circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
It looks like Ricky Quispel has been cut. Stevenson cracks Quispel with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Quispel looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Stevenson finish him?
Quispel is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stevenson is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Quispel flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Quispel is out cold! Stevenson holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
