Lundekvam tries to free his leg and advance position but Davies is retaining full guard.
Lundekvam makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Lundekvam really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davies. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lundekvam trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Davies pushes a forearm under Lundekvam's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Lundekvam is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bastion fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Johnsen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and Bastion counters with a nice leg kick.

and Bastion counters with a crisp one two that drops Johnsen! Bastion thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Johnsen to his feet! Johnsen is in big trouble!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Johnsen throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Bastion counters by clinching up.

Bastion turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Bastion manages to end up in side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Bastion staying calm.

Bastion is working to tighten is grip on Johnsen's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Johnsen has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Bastion is really squeezing tight and eventually Johnsen passes out! Bastion breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Seb Bastion!
Seb Bastion very nearly forgot to thank Fossington & Blythe: Gentlemen's Fight Attire amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.

Laranja doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Smith decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Laranja's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Laranja will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jhon Smith wasn't active enough on the ground.

and Smith counters with a takedown into side control.
Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Laranja. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Laranja can't do much from the bottom here.

Smith wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Laranja drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Laranja as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Smith screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Laranja! Nice submission victory there!
