The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pitbull Friere rushes Mint and presses him up against the cage. Pitbull Friere misses with some punches.

Mint sitting in guard here, content to control. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Pitbull Friere has his foot on Mint's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mint works his way back into a safe position though. Mint is taking a break and basically stalling. Still in half guard, Mint seems content to control.

This has been an exciting period of action! Mint lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That was a close round but I would say that Trevor Mint will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bedford shoots in but no luck this time. Bedford blocks a head kick by McBrutus.
Bedford sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Bedford shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McBrutus as he jumps to the side. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Bedford crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from McBrutus - the referee stops the clock and Bedford gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says McBrutus. Bedford manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Bedford closes the distance and clinches. McBrutus's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. McBrutus just misses with a punch to the body.
McBrutus lands a head kick. Bedford smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Bedford shoots for a double leg takedown but McBrutus sprawls well. He's pushed Bedford's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bryan Bedford. That's going to take a lot out of him. McBrutus tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bedford was well out of range. Poor timing from McBrutus. Bedford doesn't manage to clinch there - McBrutus circles away.

Bedford slips an arm under McBrutus chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Bedford has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Bedford is squeezing on McBrutus like an anaconda would it's prey. McBrutus fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
