Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Luigi Vampa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Daryl Snelson! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vampa shoots in looking for a takedown. Snelson tries to sprawl out of it but Vampa keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Snelson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Snelson has eaten all the pies! Vampa shoots and misses and Snelson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Snelson jumps into guard, dragging Vampa to the mat.
Vampa wants to control from the top but Snelson keeps moving. Snelson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Vampa trying to control the position from guard on top but Snelson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Snelson has Vampa pulled in close to control his posture. Vampa will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Vampa slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Luigi Vampa. Vampa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Snelson is fending him off so far but Vampa persists. Nope, Snelson circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luigi Vampa. That's going to take a lot out of him. No luck with that takedown attempt from Vampa. Vampa shoots in for a takedown but Snelson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snelson gets a clinch. Snelson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Snelson closes the distance and clinches. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Snelson. Snelson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Vampa clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Vampa is really stuck here.
Vampa is working hard here to advance position. Will Snelson go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
You can see the frustration on Vampa's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vampa looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Snelson is looking to control Vampa but Vampa is wriggling around and keeping busy. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Snelson is looking for a rear naked choke here but Vampa reverses the position brilliantly into Snelson's guard!
Vampa drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Snelson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Vampa has Snelson in his guard. Snelson content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Vampa has locked up a guillotine! Vampa's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Snelson is holding on here and Vampa must be using up a lot of energy. Snelson has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Vampa gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Dib. Dib trying to control the action but Brennan is working from the bottom. Dib throws a strike aimed at the side of Brennan's head but Brennan avoids it well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brennan is trying to improve his position. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brennan is not content to let Dib control the position. Brennan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Dib is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Brennan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Dib working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dib wants to control but Brennan is keeping him busy. The referee asks Dib politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Dib prefers to stall for the moment though. Dib trying to control the action but Brennan is working from the bottom. Dib working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dib slows the pace down. Brennan is not content to let Dib control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dib is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Brennan has escaped the position, nice work there. Brennan is trying to get back to half guard. Dib wants to control but Brennan is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Muad Dib dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Dib throws a body punch but Brennan moves out of range. Brennan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dib. Patrick Brennan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brennan cracks Dib with a right hand to the side of the head. Brennan scores with a jab. Dib throws a right and a left that Brennan avoids nicely. Dib has a takedown stuffed. Dib blocks a jab. Dib fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Brennan lands with a nice combination. Dib backs away looking to recover. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Brennan, as that shot connected.
Dib punishes Brennan's body with a nice straight punch. Brennan lands a really nice looking cross but Dib seems unphased.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Brennan shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Dib eats them both and turns towards Brennan to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
It looks like Muad Dib has been cut. Brennan misses with a jab, cross combination.
Brennan cracks Dib with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Dib shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Dib was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Dib controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dib wants to control but Brennan is keeping him busy. Dib tries for a kimura but Brennan is defending well. Dib wants to control but Brennan is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brennan is trying to improve his position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Dib wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brennan keeps working. Dib tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dib has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dib trying to control the action but Brennan is working from the bottom. Dib looks up at the clock and then as Brennan takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Dib smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Dib tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brennan is letting Dib control him for a moment. Muad Dib has got the better of the ground game so far. An elbow from Dib crashes against the mat.
Dib working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Dib thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Dib wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brennan, who protects the arm well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Muad Dib showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Muad Dib's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Brennan loads up on a big right hand but Dib slips the punch. Dib gets the takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dib is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Brennan's shoulder. That is not cool. Dib trying to control the position but Brennan is working away. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Dib tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Dib trying to control the action but Brennan is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dib tries for a kimura but Brennan is defending well. Dib wants to control but Brennan is keeping him busy. Brennan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dib on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Dib wants to take a breather but Brennan manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Dib. Dib looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Muad Dib has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Brennan throws a lazy right hand but Dib sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Patrick Brennan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. No luck for Dib with that takedown attempt. Brennan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dib shoots for a takedown but Brennan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Brennan is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. A decent looking cross lands there for Brennan. Brennan misses with a two punch combination.

Dib has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Brennan throws a right and a left that Dib avoids nicely. Dib drives through with a takedown into guard. Dib stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brennan swivels though and keeps the full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Brennan wants to hit a switch here but Dib passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Brennan there!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dib sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dib working the ground and pound effectively.
Patrick Brennan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dib dominating with strikes here.
And that's the end of the fight! Muad Dib comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Dib winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
