And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Uriah Hall. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hall, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wensink looks to land a combination but Macarenco avoids it well. Macarenco throws a right hand that Wensink ducks under and follows up with a left that Wensink also avoids with ease. Nice defenses there by Macarenco. Wensink throws a hook to the side of Macarenco's head but Macarenco sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Macarenco scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Macarenco looks to land a combination. Wensink sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Macarenco slips under a jab from Wensink. Wensink seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Macarenco does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Wensink fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Macarenco square on the jaw! Damn, Macarenco is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!

Zaal bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Spartan's head backwards. Spartan changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Zaal throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Spartan blocks it with crossed arms. Spartan tries to break free but Zaal pushes him back against the cage. Spartan lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Zaal obliges. Spartan is trying to force a seperation but Zaal has the dominant position. Spartan throws a punch but it's blocked by Zaal. Zaal has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Spartan - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Zaal, and another! Spartan is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
