It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Goode has hold of Darker's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Darker seems comfortable defending it but Goode has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Darker is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Darker is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Goode couldn't care less - he's delighted!

A relieved looking Slevin Goode thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Randolph Turpin!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Phil Schofield and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turpin looks for the body kick but Pain saw that one coming.
Turpin lands with a nice body kick.
Pain looks for a takedown but Turpin sprawls well.
Turpin tries a low kick but Pain avoids it.
Pain changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Turpin tries to avoid it but Pain manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Turpin to the ground. Turpin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pain looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Turpin is fending him off so far but Pain persists. Nope, Turpin circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dr Pain. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Turpin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Turpin wants it to stay on the feet.
Pain looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Turpin is fending him off so far but Pain persists. Nope, Turpin circles away and we're back to standing.
Turpin connects with a solid leg kick.
Pain is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pain takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Pain chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Turpin can pounce on him.

Turpin fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Pain.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Turpin.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Oooooh!!! Turpin has knocked Pain down with a huge combo! Turpin steps away and waves a wobbly Pain back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Dr Pain has been cut.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Pain crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Turpin - the referee stops the clock and Pain gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Turpin. Pain manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Pain doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Turpin - that will leave a mark!
Turpin fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Pain to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Pain looks to clinch but Turpin throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Pain taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Randolph Turpin!
Randolph Turpin is the new super heavyweight champion!
In his post fight interview, Randolph Turpin started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
