The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gorlanov throws a shot from downtown. Brown moves away and avoids it.
Gorlanov wants to clinch.
Gorlanov throws the left hand but Brown avoids the punch easily.
A slapping body kick lands there for Brown.
Gorlanov throws a hook but Brown avoids it easily.
Brown scores with a kick to the midsection.

Brown decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Brown wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gorlanov keeps working.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gorlanov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Brown is working away from the top position though.

Brown breaks from Gorlanov's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Brown fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Brown tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The referee warns Gorlanov that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
