The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Vladium checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Jackson tries to clinch there but Vladium circles away.
Jackson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jackson wants it to stay on the feet.
Vladium avoids the body shot from Jackson.
Vladium changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to avoid it but Vladium manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackson to the ground. Jackson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jackson takes a swing at Vladium's ribcage but misses.

Jackson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tsorka Vladium.

Alexeyevich Romanov comes into the arena with Paint it black blaring out of the sound system. Kazlau has chosen Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting) as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
