1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Oscar Perez! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Roberts and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some bone on bone action there as Perez checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Torrado lands a head kick!
It looks like Oscar Perez has been cut. Torrado doesn't manage to clinch there - Perez circles away.
Horrible takedown by Perez or perhaps it was just good defense by Torrado which made him look bad. Torrado checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Torrado works over Perez's head and body with a nice combination. Perez closes this distance looking for a takedown but Torrado circles away. Torrado stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Torrado wants it to stay on the feet. Antonio Torrado has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oscar Perez. This has been an exciting period of action! Torrado lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Perez circles away quickly and effectively. Nice takedown defense from Torrado. No joy for Perez on that attempt. Perez shoots in looking for a takedown. Torrado tries to sprawl out of it but Perez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Torrado manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Torrado moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Perez throws a right hand that Torrado ducks under and follows up with a left that Torrado also avoids with ease.
That's one minute gone in the round. Torrado sends Perez crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Torrado is motioning to the referee to let Perez up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Torrado throws a series of punches but Perez avoids them all with ease. Torrado throws a left and a right that both miss
and Perez counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Perez. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Torrado wants to stand but Perez is controlling the position. Torrado on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Torrado tries to get out of the position. Torrado is breathing heavily. Torrado is looking to stand back up but Perez counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Torrado.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Perez is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Torrado! Torrado tries to buck Perez off but he can't manage it. Torrado trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Perez wants to finish this one by submission but Torrado is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Perez. Perez cracks Torrado with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Torrado wants to get back to his feet.
Perez connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Perez lands with some strikes. Torrado is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Perez looking to secure an arm triangle but Torrado defends it well. Perez goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Torrado is on top in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Torrado is sitting in close to Perez's body. Perez has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Torrado is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Torrado is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Perez.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carano throws a low kick, looking for Echavarria's leg but Echavarria calmly moves out of range. Carano gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Echavarria controls from within his opponent's guard. Carano is trying to keep Echavarria in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Echavarria wants to pass the guard but Carano is keeping the position. Carano not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Echavarria drops back looking for a leg! Carano is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Carano manages to kick Echavarria off! Echavarria jumps back into Carano's guard. Echavarria's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Echavarria jumps guard but Carano stands there with Echavarria around his waist. Echavarria gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Carano creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Echavarria takes a knee to the side of the body. A nice right hand lands inside from Carano. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Carano throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Echavarria blocks it with crossed arms. Carano blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Echavarria tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Carano unloads a knee to the mid-section. Echavarria lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Echavarria fails to pull the fight into his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gene Carano showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Echavarria shoots for a double leg takedown but Carano sprawls well. He's pushed Echavarria's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Echavarria closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Echavarria working away. Carano is looking for a sweep. Echavarria trying to control the position but Carano is working away. Carano struggling a bit here. Echavarria tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Echavarria has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Echavarria is looking to take a break and control but Carano is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Echavarria on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Carano displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Carano. Echavarria shrugs it off though. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Carano tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Carano is looking to clinch but Echavarria is avoiding it.

Carano tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Echavarria paws at him with a jab and circles away. Carano wants to clinch up but Echavarria keeps it at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Carano, as that shot connected.

Carano lands a head kick. Echavarria smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Carano throws a head kick that misses. Carano fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Echavarria looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Gene Carano seems to be getting the better of the standup. Carano misses with a head kick.

Carano tries to close the distance and clinch up but Echavarria swats him away and circles back towards the center. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! A jab lands there for Carano. Carano tries to clinch but Echavarria moves out of range. Echavarria takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Echavarria fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hector Echavarria. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carano lands a high kick!

Echavarria feints and as Carano raises his hands in defense, Echavarria changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Carano not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Carano controls Echavarria momentarily but Echavarria frees himself. Echavarria passes Carano's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Echavarria looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Left hook, right uppercut from Carano. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Carano tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Echavarria paws at him with a jab and circles away. Carano tries to clinch up. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Carano tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hector Echavarria seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carano tries to close the distance and clinch up but Echavarria swats him away and circles back towards the center. The fight stays on the outside here - Carano looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Carano scores with a kick to the midsection.
And that's the end of the fight! Gene Carano comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Carano has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gambler throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Morrison defending well as Gambler loads up on a big left hand. Gambler swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Morrison.
It looks like Vincent Morrison has been cut. Gambler misses with a hook. Gambler uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Morrison.
Morrison blocks a jab. Morrison steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gambler. Gambler lands with a straight right. Morrison didn't see that one coming. Morrison throws out a powerful jab. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gambler misses with a jab, cross combination.
Morrison uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gambler. Gambler misses with an uppercut. Morrison saw that one coming. Nice uppercut lands for Morrison. That snapped Gambler's head back.
Gambler is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Morrison. Morrison throws a head kick but Gambler moves out of range.
Gambler swings away with a leg kick that misses. Morrison on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Morrison blocks a jab. Gambler moves out of range of the leg kick from Morrison. Gambler throws a looping overhand right but Morrison ducks down to avoid it. Morrison throws a nice inside leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morrison connects with a right hand. Gambler shakes it off. Gambler is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Gambler is breathing heavily. Gambler moves out of range of the strikes. Morrison lands a big right hand that sends Gambler crashing to the mat! Morrison stays standing though and waves Gambler back to his feet!
Gambler is rocked! Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Morrison throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Gambler is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
