The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swanson cracks McDonald with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Swanson cracks McDonald with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

It looks like Greg McDonald has been cut.

Swanson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends McDonald sprawling to the canvas! McDonald rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Swanson finish him?!
This has been an exciting period of action!
A looping hook to the body misses from Swanson. McDonald does a little dance to reset his feet.

Swanson lands a big uppercut and McDonald crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but McDonald looks OK. Swanson waves McDonald back to his feet!

McDonald is rocked!
Swanson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Swanson wants it to stay on the feet.
McDonald is still on wobbly legs! Can Swanson finish him?

Swanson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows McDonald to score an easy takedown into full guard.
McDonald seems to have recovered his senses.
Swanson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Swanson tries to get out of the position.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Swanson wriggles free and stands up.
McDonald shoots and misses
and Swanson counters with a stiff right hand.
Swanson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
McDonald takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Swanson sends McDonald crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Swanson is motioning to the referee to let McDonald up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Swanson misses with a double jab.
McDonald gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Swanson points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. McDonald wakes up just in time to hear Swanson thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
