Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Troy Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Teddy Lewis! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lewis's guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Lewis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brown seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Brown loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Lewis keeping moving, preventing Brown from controlling successfully. Lewis looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Troy Brown. Lewis gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Brown to score an easy takedown into full guard. Brown slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Lewis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brown throws an elbow that misses. Lewis uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Brown's guard. Nice move by Lewis! Brown striking off his back but it's not causing Lewis any problems. Brown wants to improve his position but instead Lewis has moved into half guard.
Brown is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Lewis wants to pass to mount but Brown is defending the position. Brown wants to control but Lewis is keeping busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lewis throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Lewis is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Let's hope that Lewis has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Lewis tries to stand but can't do so whilst Brown controls his leg. Brown tries to get to full guard but Lewis has control of the leg. Lewis keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Teddy Lewis wasn't active enough on the ground. Brown manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lewis on his heels. He'll look to pass Lewis's guard now, I'm sure. Brown is breathing heavily. Lewis wants to get back to his feet but Brown is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Brown has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Brown loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lewis pulls Brown in close to prevent any damage. Lewis wants to stand but Brown is controlling the position. Lewis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Lewis tries to strike from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Lewis has his foot on Brown's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brown works his way back into a safe position though. Lewis is adopting a defensive guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brown missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Lewis looking for a sweep. Not yet Lewis, not yet. Brown is fighting to break Lewis's control of his arms but Lewis is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Teddy Lewis was stalling too much, according to the referee. Lewis tries to clinch but Brown is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lewis fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brown sprawls well initially but Lewis persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Lewis is trying to control the action in half guard but Brown is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Lewis is working for a kimura but Brown is defending it quite comfortably.
Brown wants to control but Lewis is keeping busy and won't allow it. Brown trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Lewis is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real. Lewis is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent. Lewis controlling from the full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Lewis has taken his back! Lewis biding his time, controlling Brown. Teddy Lewis has got the better of the ground game so far. Lewis trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lewis has Brown flattened out and is raining down punches. Brown defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Lewis's arms. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lewis is not going to allow Brown to sit and survive in this position. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Lewis.
Lewis scores with punches to the body. Lewis is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Lewis controls the action. Brown trying to control the hands but Lewis won't let him. Lewis lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Lewis controlling the positon. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Brown tries to break free.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Teddy Lewis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Lewis shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lewis showed some decent athleticism there. Lewis slows the pace down in half guard. Brown is looking for a sweep. Lewis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Lewis lands with a punch from half guard. Brown is refusing to be controlled, as Lewis sits in half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lewis passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Brown!
That's one minute gone in the round. Lewis controlling his opponent. Lewis is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Brown can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Brown tries to get back to half guard but can't. Lewis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Brown is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lewis lands a big shot there that rocks Brown but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Lewis is landing with some decent strikes but Brown is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. A nice elbow there by Lewis. Lewis with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lewis trying to control but he's not successful this time. Lewis takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Lewis looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brown is bucking up trying to escape but Lewis cracks him with another couple of good strikes. BOOM! Lewis connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Lewis controlling from mount. Lewis's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Brown is squirming around, avoiding Lewis's attempts to control the action.
And that's the end of the fight! Teddy Lewis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lewis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
