Murumov with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Murumov closes the distance but Carlsson moves to the side

and Carlsson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Carlsson.

Carlsson drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Carlsson as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Murumov screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Carlsson! Nice submission victory there!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Channell connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Fenomeno momentarily.
A head kick from Channell lands but Fenomeno takes it in his stride.

Fenomeno bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Fenomeno throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Channell manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Channell in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Fenomeno tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Channell!

Maksimenko takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Cornelius stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cornelius wants it to stay on the feet.
Maksimenko shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cornelius as he jumps to the side.

Maksimenko darts in and clinches Cornelius up against the cage.

A knee to the head by Cornelius.
Cornelius lands with a short shot to the head.

Maksimenko is rocked!
Cornelius creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Maksimenko with a big uppercut! Maksimenko tries to clinch up but Cornelius pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Maksimenko to the mat! Maksimenko covers up and Cornelius unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Kolo Cornelius!
In his post fight interview, Kolo Cornelius started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
