The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alves closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hammer did well to prevent Alves getting side control.

Alves is looking for a kimura but Hammer is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Alves to get the leverage.
Alves wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hammer keeps working.
Alves is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Alves wants to work for an arm triangle but Hammer is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Dudek pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Dudek throws a push kick but Mayweather slaps the foot to one side.
A big right from Dudek misses.
Dudek lands with a straight right. Mayweather didn't see that one coming.
Dudek misses the jab.
Dudek throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Dudek darts in and clinches Mayweather up against the cage.
