The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kato moves into the clinch successfully.

Kato sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Pencil sends Kato crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Pencil is motioning to the referee to let Kato up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pencil tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Wooden Pencil spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

Burton comes to the cage accompanied by Trip Like I Do. Nogg has chosen Pantera : 5 Minutes Alone as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Burton moves into range and connects with a jab.
Nogg shoots in for a takedown but Burton shows good takedown defense.
Nogg misses with a wild body shot.
Burton misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nogg on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Nogg lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Burton circles away quickly and effectively.
Burton throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nogg.
Nogg lands a jab to the nose.
Nogg lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Burton blocks the body kick.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Burton!
Burton checks a leg kick nicely.
Nogg moves out of range as Burton strikes.
Burton goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Nogg misses with a looping right.
Nogg throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Good standup being displayed there by Burton as he connects with a hook.
Nogg looks to land a body kick but Burton moved away.

Nogg closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Burton quickly recovers to half guard.
Nogg winds up and cracks Burton with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nogg thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Burton's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Burton is trying to get back to full guard.

Nogg fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Burton takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Nogg's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Crash tries for a takedown but Ericssonl sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ericssonl moves away from the strike by Crash.
Crash fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ericssonl comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Crash lands with a straight right. Ericssonl didn't see that one coming.

It looks like Leif Ericssonl has been cut.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Crash throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Ericssonl connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ericssonl connects with a single shot there.

Crash ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Crash uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Crash shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ericssonl sprawls well. Ericssonl wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Crash gets slowly back to his feet.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ericssonl, as that shot connected.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Crash postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Ericssonl is looking to stand up but Crash isn't so interested in that idea.
Crash has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ericssonl wants to stand up but Crash is controlling him.
Crash makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Snow Crash will probably get the nod.

Ericssonl uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Crash.
Ericssonl connects with a body shot.
Snow Crash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crash closes the distance but Ericssonl moves to the side
and Ericssonl counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ericssonl keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Ericssonl counters with a crisp right hand that drops Crash! Ericssonl lets Crash back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Ericssonl circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Crash to the canvas! Crash doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Ericssonl keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Leif Ericssonl!
Leif Ericssonl tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
