3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeremy Coleman! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MangJose shoots in for a takedown and gets it. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Coleman looking for submissions from an awkward position here. MangJose is looking to stall here but Coleman recovers full guard. MangJose has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. MangJose trying to control but Coleman is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. MangJose preventing the sweep. MangJose is looking to advance position but Coleman has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! MangJose is trying to reverse the position but instead Coleman has taken his back - oops!

That's four minutes gone in the round. MangJose got a little sloppy there for a moment and Coleman has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, MangJose has managed to get both his arms back between Coleman's legs - danger averted. MangJose wants to stand but Coleman has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. MangJose bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. MangJose working the head with strikes. Coleman is being controlled here. Coleman is looking to reverse the position. Coleman looks to move to half guard but instead MangJose has passed into mount! Damn! MangJose looking to finish Coleman with some ground and pound. This is bad for Coleman!

MangJose pushes down on Coleman's leg and manages to get into half guard. AkoSii MangJose overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Coleman slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. MangJose wants to get up but he can't break Coleman's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Coleman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. MangJose doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. MangJose manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Coleman working for submissions but it's allowed MangJose to get to half guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. MangJose is stalling here. Coleman is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! MangJose seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Coleman has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. MangJose knows he needs to get back to his feet asap.
