11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Flavio Marcelo! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marcelo slips a jab and a cross from Clould.
Marcelo feints and then cracks Clould's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Clould down. Marcelo shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Clould misses with a straight left. Marcelo wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Marcelo throws a nice inside leg kick. Marcelo bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Clould's head backwards. Marcelo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Clould stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Marcelo scoring well with a low kick there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! An inside leg kick lands from Marcelo. Jab, jab by Marcelo - just one landing. Clould tries to clinch but Marcelo moves out of range. Clould misses the shot to the body. Marcelo throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Clould chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Marcelo can pounce on him.
Marcelo moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Clould takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. A solid body kick from Marcelo. Clould is breathing heavily. Marcelo lands a leg kick that knocks Clould off balance momentarily. Marcelo connects with a nice looking jab.
Marcelo lands with a thumping leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clould avoids the head kick by Marcelo.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Marcelo. A nice inside leg kick there by Marcelo. That's going to slow Clould down. Marcelo throws a nice inside leg kick. Marcelo throws a leg kick which misses Clould's front leg but catches the back leg as Clould tries to avoid it. Marcelo lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Marcelo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A solid leg kick lands there for Marcelo.
Marcelo feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Clould's calf. Clould really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Marcelo is looking to slow Clould down with leg kicks. Clould is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Marcelo buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A nice leg kick lands there from Marcelo. Marcelo scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Marcelo throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Clould takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Marcelo bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. The fighters circle momentarily. Marcelo darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marcelo lands a leg kick that knocks Clould off balance momentarily. Marcelo tries to clinch but Clould is having none of it. Donk. Marcelo catches Clould right on the button with a cross. Marcelo bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Marcelo throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Whack! Marcelo lands a heavy head kick that drops Clould. The ref tackles Marcelo to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Clould was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Flavio Marcelo! Flavio Marcelo seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arrm uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Neely . Neely fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Neely throws the kick towards the body but Arrm avoids it. Ripp Arrm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Neely clinches up with Arrm and pushes him back against the cage. Neely pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Arrm takes a shot to the head.
It looks like Ripp Arrm has been cut. Neely makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. A short right hand to the side of the head by Arrm. Neely tries to work over Arrm's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Arrm avoiding damage as Neely throws knees to the body.
Neely controlling the action here for a moment.
Arrm lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Neely or not. Arrm blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Neely misses with an elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neely working hard to break the clinch. Neely displaying some good clinch control by pressing Arrm up against the cage. Arrm blocks the elbow strike.
Arrm lands with a right to the head. Neely tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Arrm avoids it. Neely misses with a short punch on the inside. Neely has Arrm pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Arrm manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Neely tries for a takedown but Arrm manages to get underhooks.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Arrm is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Neely doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Arrm. Arrm is keen to just control but Neely is a slippery customer. Neely gets back to full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Neely looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arrm trying to control the position from guard on top but Neely is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Neely manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Arrm is in all sorts of trouble here.
Neely trying to control but he's not successful this time. Neely is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Arrm takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Neely trying to control but Arrm is having none of it. Neely lands a heavy elbow. Arrm suckers Neely into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Arrm is now in Neely 's guard!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Neely keeping full guard, as Arrm tries to pass. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Arrm works a leg free and moves into half guard. Neely is looking for a sweep. Arrm is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Neely dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ripp Arrm's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Neely connects with a single shot there. Neely lands a really nice looking cross but Arrm seems unphased.

This has been an exciting period of action! With the fighters clinched against the cage, Arrm creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Mike Neely has been cut. Arrm digs a right hand into Neely 's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Neely 's gas tank.

Arrm looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Neely is trying to control Arrm's posture but Arrm avoids it. Arrm postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Arrm is looking to take a break and control but Neely is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Neely 's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Arrm working the ground and pound but Neely is defending the strikes. Neely is not content to let Arrm control the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ripp Arrm dominated that second round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Arrm struggling a bit here. Arrm tries to improve position but can't. Neely throws a strike aimed at the side of Arrm's head but Arrm avoids it well. Neely looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Arrm is avoiding damage well.

Neely trying to control the position from guard on top but Arrm is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Neely might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Arrm haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Arrm might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Arrm can't keep his opponent in guard - Neely advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Arrm works his way to full guard. Good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Arrm throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Neely escapes and throws Arrm's legs to the side, diving into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arrm is trying to improve his position. Arrm tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Neely easily slips into full mount! Neely wants to control but Arrm has made it back to half guard. Nice work. Neely is trying to control. Arrm wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Neely wants to pass the guard but Arrm is defending well. Neely content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Neely is looking to work some ground and pound but Arrm has wrist control. Arrm keeping moving, preventing Neely from controlling successfully. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Neely stands up over Arrm, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Neely stopping the sweep attempt from Arrm.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Neely comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Neely has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A low kick from Alves Dutra is predictable there and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Gracie is trying to work for a kimura but Alves Dutra is defending well.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wittchen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smith but Smith pushes him off and we're back to square one. Wittchen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wittchen throws a jab but it's blocked by Smith. Smith tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wittchen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Smith somewhat. Wittchen tries to land a leg kick but Smith saw it coming and moves away.
Wittchen throws the left hand but Smith avoids the punch easily. Smith clinches. Smith is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Wittchen can't fight it off and eventually Smith manages to take the fight to the floor. Wittchen looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. 17 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Makao Matsumoto! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matsumoto looks to score with a jab to the body but Plas is just out of range. Matsumoto takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Matsumoto misses the shot to the body. Matsumoto shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Plas as he jumps to the side. A head kick misses from Plas. No luck for Matsumoto with that takedown attempt. Plas takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Matsumoto tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Matsumoto shoots in and bounces Plas off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Plas can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Matsumoto controls the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Plas is on top in guard.
Matsumoto is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Plas works a leg free and moves into half guard. Plas sitting and controlling from the half guard. Matsumoto looking for submissions off his back. Plas is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Matsumoto! Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Matsumoto is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Plas controlling his opponent. Matsumoto is wriggling around trying to escape.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Plas wants to control the pace but Matsumoto is squirming around nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Matsumoto regains half guard. Matsumoto looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Plas sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Matsumoto defending well though. Matsumoto is not content to let Plas control the position. Plas wants to advance to full mount but Matsumoto doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Matsumoto controls Plas momentarily but Plas frees himself. Matsumoto looking for a sweep. Not yet Matsumoto, not yet. Matsumoto is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Plas slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Plas trying to stand up but can't free himself from Matsumoto's guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Vanden Plas wasn't doing enough on the ground. Matsumoto lands with an overhand left. Matsumoto connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Plas's hands. Plas walks into a jab.

Matsumoto shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Plas eats them both and turns towards Matsumoto to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Plas shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Matsumoto fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Plas manages to avoid it. Plas throws a head kick that misses. Matsumoto tests Plas's chin there with a solid looking shot. Matsumoto throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Matsumoto ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Plas moves away.

That's going to take a lot out of Makao Matsumoto. Plas defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Matsumoto. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Plas lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Matsumoto is rocked! Plas lands a nice leg kick that just misses Matsumoto's sensitive parts. Matsumoto is still on wobbly legs! Can Plas finish him? Matsumoto takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Matsumoto looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Plas is fending him off so far but Matsumoto persists. Nope, Plas circles away and we're back to standing. Matsumoto swings away with a body shot that misses
and Plas finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Matsumoto seems to have recovered his senses. Plas pounces like a tiger and cracks Matsumoto with a vicious hook! Matsumoto is down but not out! Plas follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

A very excited looking Vanden Plas made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. Dennis working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Alcatraz stops Dennis from passing to mount. Dennis throwing shots but missing, from side control. Dennis is looking to take a break and control but Alcatraz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dennis throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Alcatraz works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Dennis moves nicely into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alcatraz stops Dennis from passing to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dennis creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Alcatraz sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Alcatraz is letting Dennis control him for a moment. Dennis is trying to get an arm triangle but Alcatraz is defending well. Dennis wants to control but Alcatraz is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alcatraz is trying to control Dennis's posture but Dennis avoids it. Dennis has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Alcatraz! Dennis sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Dennis goes for an armbar but Alcatraz turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Alcatraz.

Dennis connects with a single shot there. Dennis's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Alcatraz connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dennis scrambles back to his feet. Alcatraz buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Dennis bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dennis throwing strikes but Alcatraz manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Dennis tries to improve position but can't.

Jorge Dennis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Alcatraz lands a leg kick that knocks Dennis off balance momentarily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dennis walks into a left hand. Dennis shoots for a double leg takedown but Alcatraz sprawls well. He's pushed Dennis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Dennis takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dennis lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
