Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Diego Nunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demon Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Demon Knight struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.5lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diego Nunes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Demon Knight! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nunes goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Knight avoids the head kick by Nunes.
Knight is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Horrible takedown by Knight or perhaps it was just good defense by Nunes which made him look bad. Nunes swats away the attempt to clinch by Knight. Nunes stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nunes wants it to stay on the feet. Nunes pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nunes feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Knight's calf. Nunes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Knight takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Knight looks winded! Knight tries to clinch but fails miserably and Nunes counters with a good low kick that Knight was not able to check. A head kick misses from Nunes. Nunes throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Knight's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nunes throws a head kick that misses. Knight takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Nunes. Nunes works to advance to full mount. Knight defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Knight is working to get back to half guard.
Nunes takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Nunes is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Nunes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Knight shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Nunes counters with a head kick. Diego Nunes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demon Knight. Nunes fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Knight. A nice leg kick lands there from Nunes. Knight takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Knight tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Nunes lands a head kick. Knight smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Knight takes a head kick and keeps coming.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nunes is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Nunes stands and steps away. Knight gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Nunes lands with a nice body kick. Nunes moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Nunes is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Knight can do to turn this around? Good leg kick by Nunes there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Nunes gets tackled into the cage by Knight. Knight maintains the clinch. Knight escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nunes lands a leg kick that knocks Knight off balance momentarily. Nunes closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nunes lands in his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nunes controlling from the top position. Nunes gets to his feet - Knight follows without any prompting. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nunes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Nunes shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Nunes was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nunes advances nicely into full mount. Nunes gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Knight steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Nunes. That one must have hurt. Nunes throws a nice inside leg kick. Nunes pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Knight connects with the punch. Nunes closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Knight quickly recovers to half guard. Nunes trying to control the action but Knight is working from the bottom. Nunes trying to control the pace. Nunes is trying to control the action in half guard but Knight is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Nunes is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Knight! Nunes content just to control the position here.

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Nunes is standing up, even though he is in mount. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nunes throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Knight's head. Demon Knight has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Diego Nunes is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Nunes dives in and scores a takedown into Knight's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Diego Nunes showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nunes, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dead Pool! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Miller shoots in and bounces Pool off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Pool has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Miller wants to control from the top but Pool keeps moving. Miller would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Miller trying to control the position from guard on top but Pool is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pool is wriggling around but Miller manages to pass to half guard.
Miller works his way into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller wants to control but Pool is keeping him busy. Miller is trying to get an arm triangle but Pool is defending well. Miller working the head with strikes. Miller tries for a kimura but Pool is defending well. Miller trying to control the action but Pool is working from the bottom. Pool tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Miller wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Miller thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Pool is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Miller asserts his dominance and retains side control. Pool looks winded! Miller looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Pool is looking for a sweep. Miller trying to control the action but Pool is working from the bottom. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Miller working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Miller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Josh Miller wasn't doing enough on the ground. Pool connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Miller shoots for a takedown but Pool saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Miller throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pool. Pool fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Miller. Pool throws a leg kick that is checked and Miller counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Dead Pool seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pool throws a series of punches but Miller avoids them all with ease. Pool throws a nice looking combination but Miller bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Pool throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Miller looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Pool! Miller trying to control the action but Pool is working from the bottom. Miller has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Miller swinging wildly here.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Miller trying to control the action but Pool is working from the bottom. Pool tries to buck Miller off but Miller is having none of it. Miller trying to control the position but Pool is working away. Miller will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Miller takes a little break here. Pool wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pool defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Miller. Miller wants to stand but Pool is controlling his posture from full guard. Miller is pushing down on Pool's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pool is fighting to maintain full guard but Miller has managed to sneak the leg through. Pool is not content to let Miller control the position. Pool avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Miller. Miller thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pool's head. Miller wants to take a breather but Pool is having none of it. Pool wants to get back to full guard. Pool wants to get back to his feet.

Miller works his way into full mount! Miller really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Poor strikes thrown by Miller there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Mir should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Reaper fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Reaper ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Good standup being displayed there by Reaper as he connects with a hook. Reaper ducks down and throws a hook to the body. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Reaper smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Mir looks winded! Reaper jabs at Mir's body. Reaper catches Mir with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Reaper lands a big uppercut and Mir crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Mir looks OK. Reaper waves Mir back to his feet! Reaper finds Mir's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Mir flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Reaper lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Mir will be OK.
