These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Drago cracks Silva with a right hand to the side of the head.

and Silva cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Ivan Drago has been cut.
Drago looks to land a left hand but Silva moved out of range nicely.

Drago lands a really nice looking cross but Silva seems unphased.
Silva uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Drago.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Drago tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Drago throws out a leg kick but Silva moves out of range and Drago only half commits.
Drago throws out a loose jab but Silva uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Silva counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Silva counters with a lovely shot to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Renato Silva will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.

Drago fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Silva looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

A jab from Drago finds it's way through Silva's defenses.

Drago tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Silva is looking to wear down Drago with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Nice uppercut lands for Drago. That snapped Silva's head back.
Silva is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
