And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Orihito Shibukawa!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shibukawa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mcdermott is fending him off so far but Shibukawa persists. Nope, Mcdermott circles away and we're back to standing.

and Mcdermott counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Mcdermott gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Mcdermott closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Shibukawa's guard.

Mcdermott is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shibukawa avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Mcdermott.

Shibukawa is bucking up trying to escape but Mcdermott cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mcdermott looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Shibukawa covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Terry Mcdermott was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Serious fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Serious throws an off balance right hand
and Rostowski counters with a left to the body.
Rostowski swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Serious.
Serious throws a big shot that misses.
Serious lands a jab to the head.
Rostowski swats away the attempt to clinch by Serious.
Serious takes one to the side of the head.
Rostowski tries to score a power double leg takedown but Serious sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rostowski somewhat.
Serious throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Rostowski counters with a stiff right hand.
Serious punishes Rostowski's body with a nice straight punch.
Serious swings widly with a right hand
and Rostowski cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rostowski throws a body punch but Serious moves out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Serious takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Serious.
Rostowski tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Serious was well out of range. Poor timing from Rostowski.
Serious takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Serious is rocked!
Deadly Serious seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Serious needs to keep his hands up - Rostowski had a free shot at his head there.
Serious is still on wobbly legs! Can Rostowski finish him?
Serious wants to clinch.
Rostowski cracks Serious on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Serious falls backwards against the cage. Rostowski follows up with more strikes that drop Serious to his knees. Rostowski keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Serious! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Connor Rostowski!
After winning the bout, Connor Rostowski thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
