Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, James Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kevin Randlepex! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Randlepex to score an easy takedown into full guard. Randlepex trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Randlepex is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Randlepex trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Randlepex throws a big right hand that misses. Randlepex throws a strike but Johnson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Randlepex keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully. Randlepex preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Johnson wants to pass the guard but Randlepex is keeping the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Randlepex looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Randlepex controlling the action here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Randlepex missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Johnson is trying to stand up here but Randlepex is controlling him well. Randlepex throwing shots but Johnson is blocking nicely. Randlepex thows a huge punch but Johnson dodges it nicely.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Randlepex fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Johnson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! A looping hook to the body misses from Johnson. Randlepex does a little dance to reset his feet. Randlepex drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Johnson regains half guard, as Randlepex was trying to land strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Randlepex wants to pass to mount but Johnson is defending the position. Randlepex is nestled in close to Johnson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Johnson pushes Randlepex off looking to stand but Randlepex dives back in and keeps control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Randlepex not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Randlepex looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Johnson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Randlepex sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Johnson defending well though. Randlepex missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Randlepex is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Randlepex throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kevin Randlepex dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Randlepex defending well as Johnson loads up on a big left hand. Horrible takedown by Randlepex or perhaps it was just good defense by Johnson which made him look bad. Randlepex fails with a takedown attempt. Johnson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Randlepex moves away. Johnson stuffs the takedown attempt from Randlepex. Randlepex gets slowly back to his feet. James Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Randlepex. Randlepex misses with a hook. Johnson ducked under it nicely. Johnson scores with a nice strike.
It looks like Kevin Randlepex has been cut. Johnson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Randlepex. Johnson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Randlepex looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. This has been an exciting period of action! Johnson looks to score with a jab to the body but Randlepex is just out of range. Johnson stuns Randlepex with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Johnson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Randlepex moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Johnson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A jab from Johnson does it's job there. Johnson moves into range and connects with a jab. Randlepex is breathing heavily. Randlepex takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Johnson lands with a right hand. Randlepex slips a jab and a cross from Johnson.

That's one minute gone in the round. Randlepex loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Randlepex trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom. Randlepex not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Johnson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Randlepex wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving. Johnson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Johnson tries to get out of the position. Randlepex throwing strikes from guard but Johnson blocks nicely.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Johnson forces Randlepex back against the cage and clinches. Johnson wants to get back to striking at distance but Randlepex won't allow it.
Randlepex goes for a takedown attempt but Johnson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
James Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Randlepex misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson works Randlepex's body with a nice hook. Johnson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Randlepex doesn't seem bothered though. Johnson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Johnson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Johnson lands a really nice looking cross but Randlepex seems unphased.
James Johnson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nice defenses there by Randlepex. Johnson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Randlepex moves away. Johnson stuffs the takedown. Johnson throws a body punch but Randlepex moves out of range. Johnson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Johnson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Johnson misses with a wild combination.
Johnson lands an overhand right. Randlepex scores a takedown into full mount! Randlepex lands a big shot there that rocks Johnson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Randlepex lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Johnson wants to try and get back to his feet. Randlepex in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Randlepex pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Randlepex lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Randlepex scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Randlepex drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Randlepex postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Randlepex throwing strikes from guard but Johnson blocks nicely. Randlepex postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Randlepex slips nicely into half guard. Randlepex is keen to just control but Johnson is a slippery customer. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Randlepex slows the pace down in half guard. Kevin Randlepex has got the better of the ground game so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Randlepex connects with a nice short shot to Johnson's temple. Randlepex wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working. Randlepex stalling away here and it's allowed Johnson to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Randlepex trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Randlepex trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Johnson manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Johnson throws a big right hand that misses. Johnson throwing strikes from guard but Randlepex blocks nicely. Randlepex utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Johnson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Randlepex works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Randlepex uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Johnson.

Randlepex closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Randlepex lands in his opponent's guard. Johnson wants to stand up but Randlepex is controlling him. Johnson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Randlepex throws a strike but Johnson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Randlepex wants to sweep here but Johnson controlling him for the moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Randlepex avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Berglomi. Berglomi misses with a body kick. Berglomi lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Monster backs up against the cage.

Berglomi was covering up waiting for the punch and Monster finishes the takedown easily into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Monster pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Berglomi is keeping the position for now. Monster controlling from the top position.

Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Berglomi's shoulder. That is not cool. Monster working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

Berglomi is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Monster asserts his dominance and retains side control. Monster tries to score with some ground and pound. Berglomi controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Berglomi wants to get back to his feet but Monster drags him back down. Monster cracks Berglomi with a big elbow. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Monster looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Berglomi is avoiding damage well.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Berglomi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Monster misses with a takedown attempt - Berglomi sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shute lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but TanHer circles away quickly and effectively. TanHer slips a jab and a cross from Shute.
Shute loads up on a big right hand but TanHer slips the punch. TanHer fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. TanHer tries to clinch but Shute moves out of range. Shute throws a right and a left that TanHer avoids nicely. TanHer misses with a hook. Shute ducked under it nicely. Shute fails to land with a series of punches.
Shute takes a swing at TanHer's ribcage but misses. TanHer misses with an uppercut. Shute saw that one coming. TanHer shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Shute's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. TanHer throwing strikes but missing. Shute wants to get back to his feet but TanHer is in a dominant position and won't allow it. TanHer drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Shute manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now TanHer has Shute in his guard.

He's hooked one of Widaca's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Widaca's back! Tommasson tries to get the hooks in deep but Widaca pushed the leg off. Widaca is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Tommasson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Widaca has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

It looks like Matto Luuttu has been cut. Luuttu shoots in for a double leg but Kharitonov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Luuttu takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Kharitonov lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Kharitonov follows him down to the mat - Luuttu regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Luuttu is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kharitonov scores with a big shot! Luuttu's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Luuttu! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
