0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jon Jones! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sampson gets a clinch. Sampson scores a nice knee to the body.
Jones looking for a takedown. Sampson working Jones over with knees to the body. Jones looks winded! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A nice glancing elbow lands by Sampson. Sampson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jones is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Jones is in trouble now - Sampson has advanced to mount! Jones is still in real trouble! Can Sampson finish him? Sampson lands a big shot to the head and Jones winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Power is looking to clinch. Power gets tackled into the cage by Dunn. Dunn maintains the clinch. Dunn gets a trip takedown into half guard. Power trying to control but Dunn postures up.
Dunn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Power on the ground. Power manages to get to full guard.
Power lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Dunn! Dunn is trying to escape the mount.
Power is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Power extends the arm and Dunn is forced to tap!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kennedy tries to score a power double leg takedown but The Jackal sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kennedy somewhat. The Jackal throws a head kick that misses and Kennedy counters with a head kick. That will keep The Jackal thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Kennedy takes a swing at The Jackal's ribcage but misses. The Jackal tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. The Jackal pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Smash fails with a takedown attempt. Doorman connects with a leg kick. Smash looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Doorman lands with a hook. Smash tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Smash takes a shot to the body in his stride.

He's got his arms around Doorman's waist but Doorman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smash off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hulk Smash. It looks like Hulk Smash has been cut. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Smash crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Doorman - the referee stops the clock and Smash gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Doorman. Smash manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Smash is breathing heavily. Doorman misses with a jab, cross combination.
Smash shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Doorman counters with a stiff right hand. Paul Doorman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Doorman lands a jab-cross combination. Doorman scores with a jab. Smash acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Doorman is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Doorman thuds a left hand into Smash's body. Doorman scores with a body shot.

Smash is rocked! Doorman closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Smash! Doorman dives in looking to finish! Smash is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! FaceBreaker throws a body kick that misses and Wallace counters with a low kick, right behind FaceBreaker 's knee. FaceBreaker lands a leg kick that knocks Wallace off balance momentarily. FaceBreaker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wallace. FaceBreaker stuffs the takedown. FaceBreaker throws a head kick that misses. FaceBreaker throws a leg kick but Wallace moved away. Wallace tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but FaceBreaker paws at him with a jab and circles away. Wallace lands a nice leg kick that just misses FaceBreaker's sensitive parts. FaceBreaker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A nice inside leg kick there by Wallace. That's going to slow FaceBreaker down. Wallace gets off balance looking for a body kick enabling FaceBreaker to counter with a crisp jab. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! FaceBreaker throws a low kick but it's checked well by Wallace. FaceBreaker throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. FaceBreaker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wallace was well out of range. Poor timing from FaceBreaker. FaceBreaker looks to land a combination but Wallace avoids it well. FaceBreaker throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Wallace. FaceBreaker looks winded! Wallace closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. FaceBreaker quickly recovers to half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Wallace misses with a head shot. FaceBreaker uses the momentum to regain guard. FaceBreaker wants to get back to his feet but Wallace is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Wallace loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Wallace trying to control the position from guard on top but FaceBreaker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. FaceBreaker looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! FaceBreaker wants to get back to his feet but Wallace is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Wallace trying to control the position from guard on top but FaceBreaker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wallace is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wallace postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Wallace throwing strikes from guard but FaceBreaker blocks nicely. Wallace wants to control from the top but FaceBreaker keeps moving. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wallace accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. FaceBreaker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Wallace throws a strike but FaceBreaker rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Wallace will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wallace looking to control.
FaceBreaker tries to free his leg and advance position but Wallace is retaining full guard. Wallace wants to stand and escape but FaceBreaker is having none of it. FaceBreaker tries to stand but Wallace is controlling from the bottom. Wallace looking to hit a scissor sweep but FaceBreaker is one step ahead there. FaceBreaker won't allow Wallace to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wallace is trying to control the position from the bottom.
FaceBreaker is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Wallace keeping moving, preventing FaceBreaker from controlling successfully. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Wallace misses with a wild body shot. FaceBreaker moves into range and clinches up with Wallace. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Aramite Wallace will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

FaceBreaker has Wallace up against the cage in a clinch.

Wallace tries to score a body lock takedown but FaceBreaker shows good agility there to stay on his feet. FaceBreaker is pressed up against the cage. Wallace has hold of a leg and is looking to drag FaceBreaker down to the mat. FaceBreaker avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. FaceBreaker lands with a shot to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. FaceBreaker feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Wallace sprawling to the canvas! Wallace rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can FaceBreaker finish him?!
