Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Naya Shinoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kei Kurono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kei Kurono struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 172.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Kei Kurono is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kei Kurono! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shinoki throws a quick inside leg kick. Kurono looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Kurono misses with a takedown attempt and Shinoki counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Shinoki frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Shinoki content just to control the position here. Shinoki lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Kurono hang on? This has been an exciting period of action! Shinoki controlling the position easily from mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shinoki is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kurono can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Shinoki is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kurono to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kurono shrugs it off. Shinoki lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Kurono! Shinoki sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Kurono and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Menwasynh lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cruz circles away quickly and effectively. Menwasynh falls off balance throwing a combination
and Cruz counters with a lovely straight right hand! A bone on bone clash there as Cruz blocks the leg kick.
Khari Menwasynh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Menwasynh throws a head kick but Cruz moves out of range.
Menwasynh throws a left and a right that both miss
and Cruz counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Menwasynh badly! He tries to strike back but Cruz puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Menwasynh out cold! Oh man, Menwasynh will never hear the end of this one!

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jaguar Kick! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Woko 's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Woko duly obliges. Kick gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Woko to score an easy takedown into full guard. Kick is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Woko might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Woko in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Woko throwing strikes from guard but Kick blocks nicely. Woko postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Woko working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Woko stands and steps away. Kick gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Woko takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Kick closes this distance looking for a takedown but Woko circles away. Kick throws the kick towards the body but Woko avoids it. Kick throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Kick looks winded! Woko gets in close and tags Kick with a short punch that almost sends Kick to the mat! Oh Kick is in big trouble! He turns his back on Woko , trying to create some distance but Woko rushes him, striking wildly and Kick goes down! The referee tackles Woko into the cage to end the fight! Woko is one violent man!

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jimbo Jenkins! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jenkins stuffs the takedown. Gomes fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Gomes tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jenkins swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fabio Gomes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gomes seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Jenkins shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Gomes is backing up but Jenkins catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Gomes covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Jenkins Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimbo Jenkins! Jimbo Jenkins decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tycoon fails to land with a series of punches.
Hitoshi closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Hitoshi lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Hitoshi cracks Tycoon with a big elbow. Hitoshi working the ground and pound from side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hitoshi lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Tycoon managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Hitoshi.
Hitoshi lands a nice forearm strike. Hitoshi has knee on belly and moves into mount. Tycoon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hitoshi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tycoon takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Hitoshi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hitoshi landing strikes from the mount and Tycoon is in trouble! Hitoshi is in the full mount, landing strikes. Hitoshi landing strikes from the mount and Tycoon is in trouble! Hitoshi working Tycoon over with strikes here. Hitoshi scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Tycoon is rocked! Tycoon is bucking up trying to escape but Hitoshi cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Tycoon is still in real trouble! Can Hitoshi finish him? Hitoshi is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Tycoon can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Hitoshi postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Tycoon out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Hitoshi goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Daiki Hitoshi! Daiki Hitoshi bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
