3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Amir Khan! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Reed Andrews and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Gambini crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Khan - the referee stops the clock and Gambini gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Khan. Gambini manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Gambini dodges the punch combination from Khan.
Khan connects with a leg kick. Gambini looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Khan connects with a high kick.
It looks like Frankie Gambini has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gambini takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Gambini blocks a head kick by Khan.
Gambini gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Gambini tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Khan is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Gambini buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Gambini!! Gambini is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Khan throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Amir Khan! During a confident post fight interview, Amir Khan thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Severino swings for the body but Johnson moves out of range.
Johnson shoots in and gets a takedown into Severino's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Severino looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Well Severino has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Van De Velde throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Van De Velde fails with an attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Van De Velde looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Aliyev circles away from the clinch attempt.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Van De Velde enables Aliyev to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Van De Velde manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Aliyev showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Aliyev advances position into side control! Aliyev controlling the position from side mount. Aliyev prevents Van De Velde from escaping the position. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aliyev throws an elbow but Van De Velde slips to the side and avoids it well. Aliyev postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Aliyev is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Van De Velde looks calm but he's in trouble here. Aliyev gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Van De Velde is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Aliyev lets go of the hold and Van De Velde can pop his arm back in it's socket.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Elcock clobbers Walker with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Walker dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Elcock. That did some damage! Elcock tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Walker lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Walker throws a head kick that misses. Walker throws a quick inside leg kick. Elcock throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Walker counters with a slapping leg kick. Elcock blocks a head kick by Walker.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Walker lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Elcock has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Elcock and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Elcock throws a jab when Walker was well out of range. Walker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Elcock scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Walker throws a leg kick but Elcock moved away. Walker misses with a leg kick. Some wild striking there from Elcock.
A nice inside leg kick there by Walker. That's going to slow Elcock down. Elcock scores with a jab to the jaw. Elcock looks to land a right hand but Walker moved out of range. Elcock scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Shane Walker has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Elcock swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Walker counters with a nice low kick that buckles Elcock's knee momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walker comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. An inside leg kick from Walker misses. Elcock throws a left and a right that both miss
and Walker counters with a leg kick. Walker moves out of range as Elcock strikes. Walker fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Elcock. Elcock stalks Walker and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Walker's face. Walker staggers backwards, shaken. Walker tries a head kick but it misses.
Elcock jabs at Walker's body. Elcock throws a right hand that Walker ducks under and follows up with a left that Walker also avoids with ease.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walker misses with an attempted mid kick.
Donk. Walker catches Elcock right on the button with a cross. Walker misses with a low kick.
Elcock throws a predictable looking body shot
and Walker counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Walker connects with an inside leg kick. Walker throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. A solid leg kick lands there for Walker.
Elcock is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Walker. Elcock is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Walker scores with a leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Elcock misses with an uppercut. Walker saw that one coming. A slapping body kick lands there for Walker. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Elcock throws a hook to the side of Walker's head but Walker sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Walker throws a sloppy head kick and Elcock moves out of range easily. Walker buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Elcock misses with an uppercut. Walker fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Elcock has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Elcock keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Elcock fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Walker manages to avoid it. Elcock misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Walker feints and then cracks Elcock's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Elcock down. Elcock moves out of range as Walker throws a body kick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Walker, right into the meat.
Walker throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Elcock throws a jab when Walker was well out of range. Elcock throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A head kick misses from Walker. Elcock throws a lazy uppercut
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Elcock on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Walker. Walker obviously looking to wear him down.

and Walker counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Elcock moves out of range of the leg kick from Walker. Elcock throws a series of punches but Walker avoids them all with ease. Walker dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Elcock. That did some damage! Elcock throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Shane Walker seems to be getting the better of the standup. Walker lands a nice looking body kick. Walker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Elcock throws a lazy right hand but Walker sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Walker slips a jab and a cross from Elcock.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Elcock thows a body shot but no joy. Walker will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Elcock misses with a looping right. Elcock moves out of range of the body kick from Walker.
Elcock throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Walker sees it coming and avoids it easily. Elcock moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Elcock misses with a straight left. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Walker wants to slow Elcock down by chopping away at his legs. Elcock waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Walker.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Walker.

Elcock tests Walker's chin there with a solid looking shot. Walker fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Elcock has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Walker uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Elcock. Walker lands a really nice looking cross but Elcock seems unphased.
