Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazuki Nakanoi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marvin Lambert! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lambert changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Lambert connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Lambert showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Nakanoi.

Nakanoi takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Lambert lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nakanoi circles away quickly and effectively. Kazuki Nakanoi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nakanoi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lambert moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Nakanoi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lambert sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Lambert scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Lambert throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Nakanoi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Lambert stuffs the takedown attempt from Nakanoi. Nakanoi gets slowly back to his feet. Nakanoi is breathing heavily. Nakanoi throws a low kick, looking for Lambert's leg but Lambert calmly moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nakanoi wants to clinch but Lambert slips to the side and Lambert holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lambert breaks the clinch.
Lambert is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Nakanoi rather than just go for the knockout. Nakanoi drops his hands momentarily and Lambert takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Lambert connects with a body shot. Lambert fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Lambert punishes Nakanoi's body with a nice straight punch. Lambert ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Nakanoi takes a shot right to the bread basket. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Nakanoi. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Lambert jabs at Nakanoi's body. Nakanoi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Lambert with a hook. Lambert scores with a body shot.

Nakanoi doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lambert decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Nakanoi's guard. Lambert thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Lambert stands up from guard. Let's bang! Nakanoi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lambert circles away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nakanoi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lambert sprawls well. Lambert wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nakanoi gets slowly back to his feet. Kazuki Nakanoi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lambert lands with a nice body punch. Sloppy strikes from Lambert. Those never looked like landing. Lambert is working the combinations to good effect here. Lambert cracks Nakanoi with a right hand to the side of the head. Lambert displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Nakanoi wants to clinch but Lambert slips to the side so Lambert counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Lambert slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lambert's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nakanoi throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Lambert stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nakanoi swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Marvin Lambert. Lambert fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nakanoi manages to avoid it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lambert throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Lambert bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Lambert has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Nakanoi looks to land a combination but Lambert avoids it well. Nakanoi shoots in but no luck this time. Nakanoi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Lambert manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Lambert cracks Nakanoi with a good jab. Nakanoi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lambert but Lambert pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kazuki Nakanoi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nakanoi takes one on the button. Nakanoi fails with the takedown and Lambert holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Lambert breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Marvin Lambert seems to be getting the better of the standup. Good shot there by Lambert. Nakanoi closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. No luck with that takedown attempt from Nakanoi. Lambert misses with a double jab.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nakanoi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lambert's waist but Lambert gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nakanoi off to one side. Lambert closes the distance and lands a one-two. Kazuki Nakanoi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lambert scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
And that's the end of the fight! Marvin Lambert comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lambert has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Nolan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
