The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manny lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Soto dodges the punch combination from Manny.
No joy there for Manny, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Soto lands a big head kick that sends Manny tumbling to the mat! Soto takes a step backwards and waves Manny back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Gauge Manny seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Soto moves out of range as Manny throws a body kick.
Soto throws a powerful right kick. Manny tried to block low but the kick was high! Manny was taken right off of his feet! Soto jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Grimshaw is trying to control Kaplan's posture but Kaplan avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kaplan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Grimshaw defends it easily.
Grimshaw stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kaplan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
