Calaway displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Filgueiras.

Calaway gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Filgueiras postures up in Calaway's guard and throws a big left but Calaway blocks it.

Calaway keeping moving, preventing Filgueiras from controlling successfully.
Filgueiras slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Filgueiras throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Calaway works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Filgueiras stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Calaway swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Filgueiras wants to control from the top but Calaway keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Luana Peroba Filgueiras.
No luck for Filgueiras with that takedown attempt.
Filgueiras shoots in but Calaway avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mark Calaway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luana Peroba Filgueiras.
Horrible takedown by Filgueiras or perhaps it was just good defense by Calaway which made him look bad.
Calaway connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Filgueiras tumbling to the canvas! Calaway pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Filgueiras was done - good stoppage!

Benson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Hernandez wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Palander connects with a right that clearly hurt Hernandez. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Palander proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Hernandez collapses and taps out under the pressure!
