0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jimmy Jacobs! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Quaron Thomas! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jacobs looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Thomas! Thomas is trying to control Jacobs's posture but Jacobs avoids it. Thomas tries to bench press Jacobs off him but Jacobs keeps the position. Jacobs wants to stand but Thomas is controlling his arm. Jacobs thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Thomas wants to get back to his feet but Jacobs drags him back down. Thomas gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Thomas trying to hold on to Jacobs's head to control him but Jacobs postures up.
Jacobs wants to stand but Thomas has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jacobs's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jacobs's back! Jacobs just trying to survive but Thomas is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Thomas is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Jacobs has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Thomas wants to control but Jacobs is keeping busy. Jacobs tries to roll but Thomas sticks to his back.
Will Thomas go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Thomas has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Jacobs's body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jacobs is really stuck here.
Thomas scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Thomas is looking to control Jacobs but Jacobs is wriggling around and keeping busy. Jacobs knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Thomas on the ground. You can see the frustration on Jacobs's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Jacobs is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Jacobs avoids the strikes from Thomas.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jacobs preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Thomas. Jacobs won't enjoy being in this position. Thomas looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Jacobs is tapping - it's over boys! Thomas picks up the submission victory!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Wilson. No joy for Witten on that attempt. Nice body kick there by Witten. Witten fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wilson manages to avoid it. Witten darts in trying to clinch and Wilson moves into the clinch. Wilson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Witten's efforts to push away. Wilson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Witten misses with a series of wild punches.
Witten fails to land the takedown. Witten instigates a clinch. Witten wants to get back to striking at distance but Wilson won't allow it.
Wilson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilson darts in and clinches Witten up against the cage. Witten tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Kevin Wilson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Witten. Witten is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Wilson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Wilson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Witten regains guard immediately. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Wilson trying to control but Witten is working from the bottom. Wilson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Wilson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Witten avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Witten can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Wilson controls the pace. Witten is controlling Wilson's posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Witten is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Witten looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Wilson is defending well. Witten quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Wilson has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Witten celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jennings throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Cole. Cole fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jennings sprawls well initially but Cole persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Cole tries to stand but can't do so whilst Jennings controls his leg. Jennings is looking to improve his position.
Jennings is staying active underneath Cole, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Jennings is trying to control but Cole manages to pass to mount!
Jennings gets back to half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jennings tries to get to full guard but Cole has control of the leg. Cole lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Cole is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cole is thwarting Jennings's attempts to control the position. Jennings regains full guard. Nicely done. Jennings can't keep his opponent in guard - Cole advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Jennings taking some punishment here, with Cole in his half guard. Cole thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jennings's head. Jennings gets full guard. Cole must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Jennings manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cole can do anything to dispel that myth. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cole can't escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cole regains half guard. Jennings not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Cole is staying active underneath Jennings, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Jennings is really struggling to control Cole but he's trying to hold on to the position. Cole trying to control from the bottom.
Jennings is looking to pass Cole's guard but actually Cole recovers to full guard. Jennings trying to control but Cole is working from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cole is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jennings defends well. Jennings passes into half guard. Jennings gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Jennings misses with a takedown and Cole moves into the clinch. Cole is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jennings to keep the fight standing. Cole is trying to break free. Cole is looking to control Jennings's arms but Jennings gets an underhook and turns him. Now Cole has his back to the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jennings drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Cole gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Cole is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jennings pulls him back up using the underhooks. Cole jumps guard but Jennings stands there with Cole around his waist. Cole gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Khan Jennings has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Cole. Cole dodges an elbow strike from Jennings.
Jennings has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Jennings tries for a takedown. No joy.
Jennings landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jennings looking for a takedown. Jennings avoiding damage.
Cole digs a right hand underneath Jennings's ribcage. Jennings let out a lung full of air as it connected. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Adam Cole will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Cole wants to clinch. Cole throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jennings sees it coming and avoids it easily. Jennings shoots in and drives through. Cole sprawls well. Jennings shoots in looking for a takedown but Cole manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jennings's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. A decent looking body kick lands there for Cole. The fight stays on the outside here - Cole looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Cole looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Jennings! Jennings gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Cole trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cole controlling from the full mount. Jennings keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jennings defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Cole. Cole lands a couple of good shots and Jennings has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cole looking for the RNC. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Cole scores with punches and elbows. This has been an exciting period of action! Cole loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Jennings hold on?
Cole working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Cole scores with punches to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cole connects with a big shot to the side of Jennings's head.
What can Jennings do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Jennings is trying to shake Cole off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Cole won't be happy about giving up the dominant position. Cole closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cole lands in his opponent's guard. Adam Cole has got the better of the ground game so far. Jennings trying to control the position.
Cole stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jennings swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jennings is looking for a triangle but Cole pushes his legs off easily.
Jennings has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Jennings is looking to sinch up a triangle. Cole throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Jennings's body to avoid the submission. Jennings has instead reached around Cole's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Jennings arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
