Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rcrs Sarabjit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Jerez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jerez throws a nice looking combination but Sarabjit bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jerez misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sarabjit pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sarabjit shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sarabjit could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sarabjit throws a head kick that misses.
Jerez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Sarabjit changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jerez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Jerez is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Jerez is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Sarabjit's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Jerez pushes Sarabjit off and gets back to his feet.
Sarabjit lands with a slapping head kick.
Sarabjit stuffs the takedown.
Jerez tries to close the distance and clinch but Sarabjit swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sarabjit shoots for a takedown but Jerez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sarabjit misses with a head kick.

Jerez has managed to clinch.
Sarabjit prevents a takedown attempt there.
Sarabjit is trying to break the clinch but Jerez is controlling him.

Sarabjit decides to pull guard.
Jerez pushes down on Sarabjit's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Jerez is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Jerez working the head and body with strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jerez looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Sarabjit is trying to stand up here but Jerez is controlling him well.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Sarabjit actively working from the bottom here.
Sarabjit is breathing heavily.

Jerez content to control rather than advance.

Sarabjit looking for submissions off his back.

Sarabjit is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jerez pulls his head out easily.
Jerez working over Sarabjit with some ground and pound. Sarabjit looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Jerez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sarabjit with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Jerez is controlling the pace.
Sarabjit might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jerez lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jerez is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Sarabjit has hold of Jerez's hands but Jerez slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Sarabjit knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jerez on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jerez throws a sloppy strike and Sarabjit has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Jerez is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Sarabjit!
