I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Downy looks like he's trying to stand up.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Macfannywinkle tries for a takedown but Azhiev circles away easily and Azhiev counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Azhiev. Macfannywinkle really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Azhiev tries to land knees in the clinch but Macfannywinkle avoids the damage to the body. Macfannywinkle is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Azhiev gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Azhiev has Macfannywinkle pressed against the cage, preventing Macfannywinkle from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Azhiev escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Henderson tries for a takedown but Justice sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Justice lands an overhand right. Jon Justice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Henderson takes a body punch but keeps moving. Henderson shoots in but Justice avoids the takedown attempt easily. Henderson shoots for a takedown but Justice saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jon Justice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Benson Henderson. Henderson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Justice lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Justice scores with a head kick.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Richman manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jones drops back looking for a leg! Richman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Richman manages to kick Jones off! Jones jumps back into Richman's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Richman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Richman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Jones drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Richman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jones has Richman in his guard. Richman throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jones works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Jones uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Richman throws a good cross that connects.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Richman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Jones slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Jones looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Jones working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones trying to control the action but Richman is working from the bottom. Jones goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Richman rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Jones's guard! Nice work there by Richman! Jones wants to get back to his feet but Richman is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones wriggles free and stands up. Jones moves out of range as Richman strikes. Richman stalks Jones and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jones's face. Jones staggers backwards, shaken. Mike Richman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Richman fails to land with a series of punches.
Jones shoots in but no luck this time. Jones clinches with his opponent.
Jones is pressed up against the cage. Richman has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jones down to the mat. Jones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones throws a right and a left that both miss. Richman misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mike Richman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Richman moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones throwing strikes but missing. Jones seems to have got his legs back now. Jones postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Richman is in big trouble!
