The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bonjaatkos has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bonjaatkos and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pembelton throws a body punch but Mihattovic moves out of range. Nebojsa Mihattovic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mihattovic fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Pembelton. Mihattovic tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pembelton swats him away and circles back towards the center. Mihattovic scores with a crisp jab that stopped Pembelton in his tracks. The fighters circling - Pembelton throws out the jab but it was never going to land. An inside leg kick from Mihattovic misses. Mihattovic has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Pembelton finds it's way round the side to connect with Mihattovic's head. Pembelton shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bruvik throws a nice inside leg kick. Bruvik tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Dominguez looks to clinch and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Dominguez misses with a few strikes there.
Bruvik misses with a hook. Dominguez ducked under it nicely. Bruvik lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Dominguez sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Dominguez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bruvik paws at him with a jab and circles away. Dominguez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Dominguez pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Bruvik digs a right hand into Dominguez's ribs. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bruvik to score with a decent uppercut. Bruvik lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A right-left combo lands from Dominguez. Rico Dominguez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Some bone on bone action there as Bruvik checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Bruvik throws a sloppy head kick and Dominguez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Bruvik lands with a thumping leg kick.

He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Bruvik is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dominguez. Dominguez throws a lazy uppercut
and Bruvik connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A head kick by Bruvik misses and Dominguez makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Bruvik cracks Dominguez with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Dominguez digs a good hook to Bruvik's body.
Dominguez looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Dominguez scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Nice straight punches there by Dominguez. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Dominguez. Dominguez scores with a nice strike. Bruvik misses with a looping right. Bruvik does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Dominguez paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Bruvik cracks the inside of Dominguez's front leg. Bruvik misses with a looping left. Bruvik takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. A jab from Dominguez misses. Bruvik lands a jab to Dominguez's midsection. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bruvik looks to land a left hand but Dominguez moved out of range nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bruvik closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dominguez circles away. Bruvik takes one to the chin there. Bruvik pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dominguez moves into the clinch. Bruvik throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Bruvik avoids a wild elbow strike from Dominguez. Bruvik breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The fight stays on the outside here - Dominguez looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Bruvik throws a low kick but Dominguez avoids it. Dominguez lands with a straight right. Bruvik didn't see that one coming. Dominguez moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Malek thumps Tyson with a low kick. Tyson is looking to wear down Malek with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Tyson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Malek's head backwards. Tyson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Malek.

Malek throws a leg kick that is checked and Tyson counters with a nice double leg into guard. Tyson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Tyson stands up over Malek, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Malek is rocked! Tyson trying to control the position from guard on top but Malek is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Malek is still in real trouble! Can Tyson finish him? Tyson is in close to Malek's body, working some short punches and elbows. Malek looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Malek is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell? Malek working a defensive guard here.

The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Malek with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Malek manages to get to full guard.

Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Malek looking for a sweep. Not yet Malek, not yet. Tyson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mac Tyson. I think Malek has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
