Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kaike Tristan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bart Carlton! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tristan gets a double leg takedown into Carlton's guard. Tristan throws a big elbow that misses. Tristan postures up.
Carlton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Tristan stands and steps away. Carlton gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Carlton fails with an attempt to clinch.
Tristan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Carlton pinned against the cage. Carlton gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Horrible takedown by Carlton or perhaps it was just good defense by Tristan which made him look bad.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tristan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Tristan moves forwards but Carlton connects with a nice, crisp jab. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Tristan. Tristan pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tristan throws a half hearted mid kick. Carlton throws a series of punches but Tristan avoids them all with ease. Carlton lands with a nice body kick. Carlton tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tristan swivels and escapes. Horrible takedown by Tristan or perhaps it was just good defense by Carlton which made him look bad. Tristan fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carlton has closed the distance and engaged Tristan in a clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Carlton breaks the clinch.
Carlton drives through with a takedown into Tristan's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tristan keeping moving, preventing Carlton from controlling successfully. Tristan looking for a sweep. Not yet Tristan, not yet. Carlton is stalling in the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Tristan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Carlton.

Tristan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Carlton paws at him with a jab and circles away. Carlton scores with a nice body kick.
Carlton swats away the attempt to clinch by Tristan. Tristan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tristan lands in his opponent's guard. Carlton kicks Tristan off and gets to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carlton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Carlton misses with a head kick.
Tristan fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kaike Tristan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tristan doesn't manage to clinch there - Carlton circles away.
Tristan wants to clinch. Tristan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Carlton was covering up waiting for the punch and Tristan finishes the takedown easily into guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Carlton is working an open guard so Tristan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kaike Tristan will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Carlton throws a sloppy head kick and Tristan moves out of range easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Carlton shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Carlton was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Carlton postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Tristan struggling a bit here. Carlton working the strikes but Tristan uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Tristan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Carlton's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Carlton's back! Tristan lands a shot to the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Carlton trying to control the action but Tristan just sinks the hooks in. Kaike Tristan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carlton is covering up but some of the strikes from Tristan are getting through and doing damage.
I would not like to be Carlton right now.

Tristan has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Carlton has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tristan has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Carlton trying to control the position but Tristan manages to sink in the hooks. Carlton staying busy and making it hard for Tristan to control. Tristan cracks Carlton with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Carlton from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Tristan has his arm under Carlton's chin here. Game over son! Tristan squeezes tightly and Carlton is forced to tap out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nickoson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gods throws out the jab. Gods ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Nickoson keeps the fight on the outside. Nickoson is looking to land body kicks. Gods dodges the punch combination from Nickoson.

and Nickoson counters with a solid body kick. Nickoson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Gods decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Gods is thwarting Nickoson's attempts to control the position. Gods is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Gods is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gods looking to pass the guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Nickoson holds on and takes a little breather. Gods preventing the sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gods wants to pass the guard but Nickoson is keeping the position. Nickoson trying to keep a closed guard but Gods is proving a slippery customer.

Rowdy Nickoson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Some bone on bone action there as Nickoson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Gods closes the distance but Nickoson moves to the side and Nickoson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Gods's knee momentarily. Gods takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Gods misses with an attempted mid kick.

Nickoson is defending well against a takedown attempt. Gods is breathing heavily. Nickoson is trying to break the clinch but Gods has him pressed against the cage.

This could be trouble! No, Gods has managed to free his arm - good work. Gods has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Nickoson is working away from the top position though. Gods takes a body punch but keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rowdy Nickoson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Gods's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

Nickoson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Rowdy Nickoson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gods has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Nickoson finds it's way round the side to connect with Gods's head. Nickoson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gods tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Nickoson is in Gods's guard. Nickoson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gods trying to control the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gods is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Nickoson dives into side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Rowdy Nickoson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Nickoson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
