Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stefan Danski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drago comes to the cage accompanied by Antonin Dvorak- Symphony 9. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Drago!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stefan Danski!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Konstantin Menshow and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good standup being displayed there by Drago as he connects with a hook.
Danski fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Drago swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Danski.

It looks like Stefan Danski has been cut.
Danski closes the distance and clinches up with Drago, looking for a takedown. Danski pushes Drago against the cage but Drago circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Danski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Drago tries to avoid it but Danski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Drago to the ground. Drago escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ivan Drago has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stefan Danski.
Danski fails with the takedown.
Danski swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Drago cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Danski tries to clinch but Drago moves out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Drago as Danski shoots in.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Danski.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Danski dodges the punch combination from Drago.
Ivan Drago is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Danski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Drago's waist but Drago gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Danski off to one side.
Drago wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Danski looks winded!
Drago leaves Danski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Drago keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Danski shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Drago pinned against the cage. Drago gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Drago changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Drago keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Drago uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Drago throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Danski stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Nice cross by Drago.

Danski is rocked!
Danski is aggressively charging in as Drago backs up avoiding any damage. Drago tosses out a jab and Danski runs right into it face first! Danski is out cold! Drago dropped down on all fours and is barking in Danski's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ivan Drago!
A very excited looking Ivan Drago rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.

Pettis throws a head kick that misses.
Pettis misses with a head kick.
Pettis pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Koschelev tried to score with a low kick but Pettis checks it.
Pettis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Koschelev jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Pettis pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Pettis lands a head kick that stumbles Koschelev and the fighters go to the mat.

Koschelev is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pettis looking to improve position, pressing down on Koschelev's thigh with his hand. Koschelev seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Pettis paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Pettis 's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Koschelev picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
