The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Costa thows a body shot but no joy. Butrovic looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Butrovic closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Costa quickly recovers to half guard. Costa trying to get back to full guard but Butrovic takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Costa tries to lock up and control but Butrovic gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Butrovic working Costa over with strikes here. Butrovic lands a heavy elbow. Butrovic lands a big shot there that rocks Costa but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Costa is in all sorts of trouble here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Braida throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Toddler on the side of the head. Sloppy strikes from Toddler. Those never looked like landing. Braida takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Toddler keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Braida is defended easily by Toddler. Braida throws a series of punches but Toddler avoids them all with ease. Toddler lands a nice hook to Braida's body. Braida takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Braida throws a right hand that Toddler ducks under and follows up with a left that Toddler also avoids with ease. Braida misses the shot to the body. Braida finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Braida will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Braida with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Toddler to score with a decent uppercut. Toddler attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. This has been an exciting period of action! Braida slips a jab and a cross from Toddler.
Braida shoots in for a double leg but Toddler sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Braida pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Braida ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Toddler moves away. Toddler scores with a shot to the body.
Toddler moves out of range of the strikes. Braida needs to keep his hands up - Toddler had a free shot at his head there. Braida fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Braida. That's going to take a lot out of him. Braida is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Button lands on the inside with an uppercut. Saint breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Saint smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Button throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Saint stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Button follows into mount! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Button unloads with some shots from mount but Saint bucks and avoids them well.

It looks like Damian Maya has been cut. Tu shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Maya napping and manages to drive through into side control! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Maya is looking for a sweep. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Tu working away. Maya is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Tu's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Tu uses his free foot to push down on Maya's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Maya.
