The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bida closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Francico working hard to break the clinch. Francico stalling in the clinch but Bida improves position. Francico looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Bida lands with a light punch inside. Bida breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bida has taken the fight to the clinch.
Bida pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A combination from Bida does no damage. Bida closes the distance and clinches. Bida dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Bida has clasped his hands together around Francico's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Bida postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Francico is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Bida has Francico pressed against the cage, preventing Francico from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Bida leaning his opponent against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Francico as Bida tries to tie him up. Bida manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

and Francico counters with a three punch combo that has Bida backing up. Bida nods at Francico to acknowledge the strikes. Francico tries to clinch there but Bida circles away.
Francico gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bida to score an easy takedown into full guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Bida won't allow Francico to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bida trying to stand up but can't free himself from Francico's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Francico wants to stand but Bida is controlling the position. Bida wants to stand and escape but instead Francico has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Francico pushing down on Bida's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Bida is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Francico thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bida's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Francico wants to control but Bida is keeping him busy. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Francico is trying to control. Bida wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bida on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Francico connects with a nice short shot to Bida's temple. Francico content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Francico throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Bida to regain full guard. Bida keeping moving, preventing Francico from controlling successfully. Francico lands a couple of digs. Francico has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Francico postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Francico trying to control but Bida is working from the bottom.

Francico lands a couple of decent looking shots. Francico slips nicely into half guard. Francico sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Bida defending well though. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Francico in particular looking to stall. Bida avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Francico. Andreh Francico has got the better of the ground game so far. Francico throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Francico is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Francico sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Bida defending well though. Bida knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Francico on the ground. Francico throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Francico is taking a breather. Bida says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andreh Francico showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Uechi as Duarte shoots in. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Uechi is defended easily by Duarte. Uechi stuffs the takedown attempt from Duarte. Duarte gets slowly back to his feet. Uechi shoots for a takedown but Duarte saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Uechi shoots in looking for a takedown. Duarte tries to sprawl out of it but Uechi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Duarte manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Douglas Duarte has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kanbu Uechi. Uechi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Duarte avoids it really well and circles away. Uechi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Duarte tries to avoid it but Uechi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Duarte to the ground. Duarte escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Duarte shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Uechi defends it nicely. Duarte goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Duarte slaps away a takedown attempt from Uechi, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duarte shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Uechi as he jumps to the side. Uechi takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Duarte doesn't manage to clinch there - Uechi circles away.
Duarte shoots in but no luck this time. Kanbu Uechi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A head kick misses from Duarte. Uechi has Duarte up against the cage in a clinch.
Duarte is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Uechi pulls him back up using the underhooks. Duarte manages to pull guard.

Uechi drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Uechi as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Duarte screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Uechi! Nice submission victory there!

Gu thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Macarenco to his feet! Macarenco is in big trouble! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Macarenco shoots in but no luck this time. Macarenco with a poor takedown and Gu counters with a straight that turns Macarenco's legs to rubber! Gu pushes forward with more strikes and Macarenco goes down, battered and bloody! It looks like Duarte Moreira has been cut. Polk lands a damaging elbow. A nice glancing elbow lands by Polk. Polk tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Polk comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Duarte Moreira's cut is getting worse. Moreira is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Polk is defending well. Polk working the clinch nicely. Moreira is working for position but Polk cracks him with a big knee to the head! Moreira crumples up against the cage and Polk lands two more shots before the ref can save Moreira! This one is all over!

The World tries to close the distance and clinch but Stugatz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The World thuds his right hand into Stugatz's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Stugatz throws a half hearted mid kick. Stugatz takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stugatz fakes high and swings low for a body shot but The World manages to avoid it. Stugatz pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Stugatz takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Stugatz takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Stugatz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. The World lands a nice hook to Stugatz's body. Stugatz takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. The World is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Stugatz misses with the body kick and The World counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Stugatz takes one to the side of the head.

The World throws a leg kick which misses Stugatz's front leg but catches the back leg as Stugatz tries to avoid it. Paulo Stugatz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The World lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! The World throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Stugatz is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
